Another thing I noticed is that the TV remote sends signals using IR. In some remotes we can see the IR LED transmitter blinking in red when we press the buttons on the remote. In some remotes we can't see the LED blinking. But if you look at the LED through your mob's camera, you can see it blinking. The reason is that our eyes are insensitive to IR but mob camera can see it and so if we look at the LED from the mob's camera, we can see it. But what I don't understand is that it shows the LED blinking in blue colour and not red. Do you know why it is? Thanks in advance...

the arc only has a TFT LCD screen which no 'reality display' gimmick can hide. It has all the problems normal LCD screens have.
The arc right now may not seem terribly slow, but in a few months when there are a lot of dual-core phones about, time is going to catch up with it, quickly.
dont trust sony ericsson, ever since the excellent k800, they have failed to make a phone which competes with any of the other manufacturers

I have never seen the phones in the stores(can buy them only with order). I am interested about 1.design 2.the screen(it there a diference between arc and s2,knowing that s2 has a super amoled plus screen?! ) 3.if arc is slow(knowing that s2 has a dual core..I know hat s2 is faster,but I just want to know is arc works weel enough for buying it) !Please let me know! hi I am using the phone for 2 weeks now... Today I installed battery monitor pro and it showed that the battery has 1200 mAh capacity. As far as I know the battery capacity of arc is 1500 mAh. Is it a fault with the software or the battery itself.. Please help

The Gps, Wifi and bluetooth if are connected all day, eats a lot of energy from the battery. If you wish to enjoy all day of the mobile, must be turn off all this, and connect on when you wish to use. This is typical from android's phones.

Its been a month i have been using this phone. And few more observations in addition to my earlier posts.
Most important among all is...i tried comparing the internet connection speed on this phone with iphone 3gs and i found Arc substantially doing very well. Me and my frnd who owns iphone 3gs started a youtube video at once and found that my Arc just takes couple of seconds to start screening the video and completes a 5 minute v.song with out any buffering. Where as iphone was only half the way while i completed watching the same video.
Note: both of us were on same data plan (Airtel 98 rs, not 3g).
That seriously impressed me. I am sure you guys can easily live with normal edge gprs plan instead of shelling out more bucks on 3g.
Other major thing i found out is, i started using Auto Task killer and that substantially increased my battery backup.
I have observed that phone gets connected to internet in the night for some reason and the battery gets drained. So i disabled data access before i got to bed every night and i have observed that battery only discharges by 2% or 3% for the whole night.
I hope these comments help in saving ur battery...
Also, always restart your phone for every two days to enjoy the maximum speed its cpu can offer.

Anyone has had problems with battery? Becouse I have my Arc since a month when I charge it stand 100% during several hours. then the percentage reach around 30-40% and suddenly apears a messege your phone has less than 1% and then switch it off.
Please help me to fix this trouble

What I did is, I uninstalled the Whatsapp updates. Then the phone automatically updated the Whatsapp again and after that no issues. But I read somewhere in the user manual itself that company itself recommends that we restart the phone once in a day to free up memory locks or something. Please try it and let me know. And the black bars that appear while receording from a computer or tv screen are normal. It is because of the refresh rate of that computer or tv screen. That is a normal phenomena. It happens because the images that you see on the computer or tv are not always there. It comes on and off so very fast that our eyes are not able to feel it. But camera sees it. The camera also follows a similar on and off technique to capture a video. Both these combined together gives the impression of the black bars... If you observe a rotating ceiling fan in a flickering tube light, you feel the fan blades moving slowly in the opposite direction. This is another simpler example of the same phenomena... And friend, these are my guessings... not sure how much correct I am... Try increasing the refresh rate of computer and see if the bars go away or decreases...

uhm can anyone help me.. i had this phone for over a month now and im having a problem.. my phone sometimes restarts by itself and when it does a couple of minutes after, it restarts again by itself.. and does anyone also experience black bars[like when recording infront of a computer] that goes up when in video recording mode? i sometimes experience having this and cant seem to know why.. this is my first android phone so i hope someone can help me.. thx
