if you look closer, this is just x10 upgraded. the lack of secondary camera give it away. although there was improvement sony ericsson was obviously in a hurry to come out with a new model. i believe they will come out with another version but this time with secondary camera within this year. after all, its now a requirement to have a secondary camera for smartphone ever since iphone 4 came out. look at htc new line of phones, they now have it also when they usually doesnt.

Anonymous, 16 Feb 2011i think the new HTC lineup with the S models is gonna steal... moreHTC is great, no doubt abt it but HTC phones have the worst camera quality while SE phones have the best.
That's one of the many things which is stopping me from buying HTC.
One more thing- HTC phones r made from great materials like aluminium body but the now i'm fed up of same unibody design they r repeating in every HTC phone. It looks outdated while SE phones like Arc have most unique & refreshing designs.

i think the new HTC lineup with the S models is gonna steal a lot of xperia arc customers. I luv HTC but i will seriously consider an Arc. But thats me, i dont care much about price, and i dont care that Desire S will have 1.2GHz processor. But most ppl DO care about those things.
Samsung is no threat to HTC and SE, quality aware customers know that Samsungs faulty software hinders performance, not to mention Samsungs obsession with cheap plastic constructions, they are the absolute opposite of HTC. Add to that the bad color reproduction of the Galaxy S and SLCD and Bravia become so obvious winners. Oh how terrible it is with SAMOLED and the constant tint of blue, i have no idea how anyone can say its good?

Great design, good specs, last Android version 2.3, that's unusual for SE :-). But device has no USB-on-the-go. And I don't like microUSB port opened.
Any case I'll buy it.

i m keen to buy this phone... but the lack of 2mdary Camera makes me irritated...!
I mean even smaller phones below 10k are cming wd a 2ndary camera nw a days...!
Why SE is alwz a step behind..!
I have seen PRO & NEO, but they are as appealing as ARC.
I wud prefer it over Galaxy II if it has 2ndary cam.!

i love sony ericsson and satisfed with my xperia mini pro...sony ericsson phones have perfect picture quality which other shit cams of phone lacks....love u sony and coming ARC HOPE I WILL HAVE GUD XPERIA ENCE WITH IT

At this range of price, most of the buyers already hv another phone, so I might pick another one with front facing camera if I need that feature. Design is my concerning when I choose a device. Put this arc, sgs II, optimus 2x, iphone 4, and an s5233 star together on a table, you'll see which one is the most compelling.
In less than 6 months, the definition of ultimate specifications will be changed to the next level, two core processor or 1 Gb ram would be common in many devices. I'm waiting for the Pro...
