I like both, the Arc I like very much for it's camera and screen, I like the Atrix for it's CPU, Ram and big internal storage. The Atrix has more screen resolution than the Atrix. The Arc has a bigger screen. It is hard to choose, this is my opinion.

Comparison between SE Arc & motorola atrix -
Arc with great 8 mpx camera with sony's award winning Exmor R sensor , face detection , smile detection , autofocus but atrix with poor 5mpx camera with simple sensor & only autofocus.
Arc with great & gorgeous LED backlit Reality display with sony's mobile Bravia engine but atrix with poor simple lcd .
Arc is the greatest sexy looking touchscreen phone ever but atrix looks completely pathetic like a slab.
Arc specially made from premium materials but atrix with simple cheap plastic.
Arc just 8.7 mm slim but atrix 10.1 mm thick.
Arc with 0.2 inch bigger screen which is an advantage over atrix.
Arc with the great SE sound quality as ever but motorola always has poor sound quality.
Arc with android 2.3 gingerbread on board & the 1st device being tested for android 2.4 but atrix with the old 2.2 froyo.
Arc with great revised Timescape customization but atrix with the same poor performing motoblur.
Arc with double battery life as compared to atrix (just take a look at the specs - arc's standby time is double that of atrix)
Atrix with dual core cpu but arc with single core cpu .
Atrix with better 16 gb internal storage but arc with 512 mb (it doesn't matter in arc bcoz 2.3 saves the apps to memory card & we get a 8gb micro sd free with arc.

It's a great phone and also i dont have nothing to comment concerning ARC.I'm a real fan of sony ericsson an also i have now model's like t610, t100, k750, z800, j100 and xperia x1.
I will, sure, buy ARC when it will appear in Romania, mabe in 3 month.
I think now, it is the best model of SE and i must have it, so mates let's hear only best things about ARC because bad things aren't.
As for me, there is sony ericsson and the rest!

Beautiful phone, but a little to big for me. I'll stick with Atrix i guess.

The design alone is already sold to me. Lucky I didn't buy any phone recently. But prepare for the steep price though.

This is my opinion :
This is indeed the best looking device I have ever seen! But this is not strange since it's a Sony. What's even better is that the 8 mp camera with the new sensor will keep the X10 successor the best android camera the same way the current X10 is.
So this device will have a brilliant camera, stunning display, the latest version of android plus the sexiest design you could ever get!! I don't think it could get better than this, but wait let's not forget it's a Sony which means you will still get the premium and classy feeling while holding it.
Brilliant job se! I am indeed impressed.
Also, we will get the play station phone along with the X10 mini pro successor. All handsets will have gingerbread along with very impressive features.
No wonder why we love and believe in Sony, they always impress us! And I mean live innovation not only copy/paste others.

[deleted post]Just so you know, the Atrix only does 720p of video and only has 5mp of camera. It also does not support continuous auto-focus, face detection, touch focus, and smile detection. And that's also without any special camera sensors. Plus, the Atrix only uses a standard TFT touchscreen.
The XPERIA Arc uses Sony's Exmor sensors which are known for its brilliant performance especially in low light conditions and comes with BRAVIA technology. So the Atrix's "HD recording" and camera are useless with a basic camera sensor. The Arc has the latest version of Android which means it supports Adobe Flash and performs faster. The Arc has a microphone on its back which could be used for active noise cancellation. Divx support can be found on the Android market.
And IMO, the Atrix uses a hideous 'MotoBlur UI' compared to the sleek and modern UI of SE specifically customized for Entertainment. And the Atrix is completely made out of PLASTIC and has an iPhone wanna-be look. It's also not coming out until the SECOND quarter and yet it still uses the outdated Android 2.2 version. Oh, and the Atrix's dual processor is gonna suck up on your battery so good luck with that. Dual core processors were specifically made for tablets so the whole point of the Atrix is stupid in my opinion.
