[deleted post]Just so you know, the Atrix only does 720p of video and only has 5mp of camera. It also does not support continuous auto-focus, face detection, touch focus, and smile detection. And that's also without any special camera sensors. Plus, the Atrix only uses a standard TFT touchscreen.

The XPERIA Arc uses Sony's Exmor sensors which are known for its brilliant performance especially in low light conditions and comes with BRAVIA technology. So the Atrix's "HD recording" and camera are useless with a basic camera sensor. The Arc has the latest version of Android which means it supports Adobe Flash and performs faster. The Arc has a microphone on its back which could be used for active noise cancellation. Divx support can be found on the Android market.

And IMO, the Atrix uses a hideous 'MotoBlur UI' compared to the sleek and modern UI of SE specifically customized for Entertainment. And the Atrix is completely made out of PLASTIC and has an iPhone wanna-be look. It's also not coming out until the SECOND quarter and yet it still uses the outdated Android 2.2 version. Oh, and the Atrix's dual processor is gonna suck up on your battery so good luck with that. Dual core processors were specifically made for tablets so the whole point of the Atrix is stupid in my opinion.

Btw quadrant score was quite disappointing only 1532 on 2.3 see GSMARENA blog.

I though with Gingerbread it should be around 3000.lol ( I know this expectation is too much)

Overall best phone. I like the way SE design their phones,never boring, always a sexy feel.

This is my opinion :

This is indeed the best looking device I have ever seen! But this is not strange since it's a Sony. What's even better is that the 8 mp camera with the new sensor will keep the X10 successor the best android camera the same way the current X10 is.

So this device will have a brilliant camera, stunning display, the latest version of android plus the sexiest design you could ever get!! I don't think it could get better than this, but wait let's not forget it's a Sony which means you will still get the premium and classy feeling while holding it.

Brilliant job se! I am indeed impressed.

Also, we will get the play station phone along with the X10 mini pro successor. All handsets will have gingerbread along with very impressive features.

No wonder why we love and believe in Sony, they always impress us! And I mean live innovation not only copy/paste others.

But you cant deny this is the sexiest looking phone ever, and what about bravia engine my LCD television has that and its just phenomenal!!

My phone has 8MP cam with xenon flash vs Xperia x10 8MP cam with LED flash.
Dont know why is X10's camera better than my Xt720??
So I can expect even better camera from XPERIA ARC..

i said 1 more time atrix record on 720p . is easy to see ON GSMARENA . small child , dont forget XPERIA ARC is much much better than ATRIX .

compare it if u dont believe me . u are jealous that ATRIC look terrible and same as samsung or lg .

GSMarena please update the spec sheet. Sony Ericsson just officially released the XPERIA Arc's white paper.

This phone has the new *1GHz MSM8255* chipset which is one of the latest processors from Qualcomm and also has the new *Aderno 205 GPU* which is significantly faster than the X10.

For many people is important to have good camera in phone , and i think ARC have good camera for making photos & videos .

I have ditched Nokia for a few years now (going down fast with only crappy phones) and only using Samsung at the moment. But this one is the first time SE makes a phone i would like to buy. Surely a great success if not too expensive.

Motorola don't really has a good taste in terms of design. Almost all their phones look the same, all their phones are in black color. I like the Arc a lot because of the internal storage. I use a phone which has a big internal storage, and I like only those phones which have at least 8 GB of internal storage. I know that the Arc has a memory card slot, but I rather want a phone with big internal memory than a phone with less memory.
