It is upgradeable to 4.1 Android, but eats battery in 18 hours.

recently sony released xperia V,T,TX which have "WALKMAN app" in it..

payi, 31 Aug 2012really gud .butt the charge will be over fastSet your phone correct, it will last you more ( optimum use of radios, screen brightness, syncing intervals for apps etc) ...also change ur phone network settings to see 60% more battery life

iam using nokia phones since last 6 years, my last handset from sony was k510i. after that now xperia arc s.
really its a good mobile and its worth to upgarde to android 4.0.4 version, which is far better than 2.3.4.
the only thing that was below my expectations are screen.
its really good, but i expected more, like i thought it will be better than super amoled. but its not.
apart from that it have rocking looks
very good battery backup
big screen with bravia engiene
good camera quality with special night sensor
speed is also ok.

sayem, 30 Aug 2012I've using this phone for about 1 months....wonderful phone... moreThis is an issue with android. Yet to find a solution. A temporary solution, is uninstall Play Store and download. It will work till you disconnect. In between, your Play sotore again get reinstalled automatically. Next time, you repeat the same , ie, uninstall Play store and then you can connect using old version Market and download...

hi i am using xperia arc s from four months and i did not face any problems...having nice clarity and and camera is great. and i am downloading thousands of free applications and games form google store for free.but a little problem i am facing is its force closing sum time....thats it......behalf of that no other problem from my phone...

sayem, 30 Aug 2012I've using this phone for about 1 months....wonderful phone... more320MB is about right. From the 512MB total, the amount that you don't see is reserved and hidden by the OS. There are a lot of threads regarding this; Google's your friend in this regard.
I'm still on GB but curious for those who have opted for the ICS upgrade. The general consensus seems to be that while non-power users are happy, the people who demand a bit more from their devices experience occasional instability. So aside from the notification LED not showing for new messages, are there any issues, however small they may be, that one should take into consideration before upgrading?
My plan was to upgrade once GB becomes what Froyo is today, but I might as well upgrade when I don't have a lot of stuff on the phone (backup and restore might become a pain further down the track). Might even hold out for Sony's official stance regarding JB on the 2011 Xperia lineup, but we'll see...
