If you have battery issues with the Xperia Arc S, then you don't understand how to tweak Android, or are a heavy user. I have owned LG & HTC smartphones, both with 1500mah batteries and battery life was 2-3 days with normal use. If you play games online all day, then you most likely will only get 1 day from battery.

    1. Update phone to ICS, to get improved battery life.
    2. Lower screen brightness indoors to around 25%.
    3. Disable screen savers, live wallpaper & use a black background instead.
    4. Disable bluetooth, gps, mobile data, sync, wifi, google search & set standby (sleep) to 1 min. or less.
    5. Don't trust the tiny battery icon, with about 1 bar left, it still has 30% battery remaining. Use a battery notifier to give accurate %.

My results were 3.5 days use, with battery still showing 10% remaining. 10 phone calls, 4 sms, 30 minutes gps in car, 60 mins. installing and removing software and 30 minutes playing hd video.

Just go to settings and check battery to see what is using the most battery drain.

Can anyone tell me if newest upgrade is as fast as 2.3.4?? Im thinking to upgrade, but i have seen some ICS arc S phones, and they feel like they are lagging compared to 2.3.4.

      Thanks.

My Arc S gets heated up quickly, even with a casual facebook browsing. When I play games like "World of Goo" or "where's my water", the battery temperature rises upto 45 Deg Celsius. Is it something normal? or Is there any problem?
        Thank you.

                        1) Have at-least50% battery.
                        2) Have a nice and fast net connection.
                        3) The update will be of around 140 Mb. (might be less as I was playing poker and chatting and checking out a couple of videos as well) Never the less make sure that you have internet allowences.
                        4) DO NOT DISTURB THE DOWNLOAD. IT MIGHT HARM THE SOFTWARE.

I'm having troubles in connecting with my network provided 3g connection using my Arc S, I had the same number and network provider for my iPhone and Galaxy mini and never had any troubles connecting to the web via 3g connection.

Is it a problem with the phone? And if it is, can it be fixed?

I'll be waiting for any replies on this. Thank you in advance.

The ICS update on the xperia arc s made the livedock less useful. The keyboard and mouse works better on GB. I hope they're gonna fix this on the next update. There are some incompatibility issues on the camera too. Camera 360 (my favorite camera app) does not woer well on xperia arc s ICS. Keeps on crashing.
