Can i upgrade or add more ram on this phone? because on pc, we can add ram, so i'm just wondering, Sony Xperia S has 1,5 ghz which is not so different with Arc S, the biggest difference i see is only the ram and the camera, the RAM is only 528 mb, so if you know the answer, let me know soon!

You should check which network types the providers support where you are staying in South America. And then the power supply of course... I'm assuming it should work. If you have a normal phone that works then this will also work. The only thing is the 3G which enables you to go online. That depends of the provider

Majority who updated their OS from Gingerbread to Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) said in this forum that Xperia Arc S is laggy with ICS. Therefore, Xperia Arc will become more laggy considering that Xperia Arc S has higher CPU (1.4GHz)against Xperia Arc (1GHz).

Hi, i'll be getting my arc s soon. Very excited about it, but sometimes I cant be sure if getting arc s is the right choice. I'm a 19 year old girl and I'm not really a tech pro. Can anybody please help?

After using arc S for few days I am impressed with the esthetics with which Sony Ericsson has managed to deliver to end users.
It has beautiful slim design and Sony BRAVIA engine does excellent job on display colors
Upgrading to ICS 4.0 adds to functionality of phone, also a plus point of device in tough competition

In my opinion price/Specs& user experience ratio is quite balanced for arc S. It is recommended for all lovers of Sony who are looking for slim smartphones offering decent user experience

In response to adzypadzy, I found the same, so did a factory reset of the phone following reading an online comment. The factory reset puts the phone into a clean ICS install rather than the upgraded state, which seems to make it run smoother.
You obviously have to set your accounts up again, but this is worth it for the improved performance.

Do a factory reset on the phone (back up your stuff first) It won't remove ICS, but it does seem to run a little quicker. I estimate it's about 90% the speed of Gingerbread tho !
