Sony Ericsson Is good in looks and style. They are prevalent in the market because of brand image and looks. If somebody cares about long lasting performance then go for Samsung galaxys, Nexus, HTC or the Moto. Sony Has a head turning effect but it will go off within a year because of subnormal hardware and performance. Those who prefer only looks SONY is the prince. But HTC is the king. Samsung the emperor.

disappointing fan!, 11 Nov 2011i don't understand, what's wrong with the design team? why ... moreNot everyone wants a front facing camera. Personally, I'd rather not pay for something I'll never use - especially if it takes up space in what is currently a slim and gorgeous phone.

AnonD-4340, 11 Nov 2011Whats so great about the display?? Even GSMARENAs test says... moreI was expecting the GSII to have a better display, based on what I'd seen in the reviews. But what can I say - when I saw them side by side in the shop I much preferred the Xperia Arc S. The GSII display seemed lurid, too heavy on primary colours, while the Arc was better on softer shades and pastels. It also seems closer to the surface of the glass. I have it in my hand now, checking viewing angles, and they are pretty good. Videos are superb. It does fall down in bright sunlight, but I live in the UK, so that's rarely a problem for me :)

i don't understand, what's wrong with the design team? why did the keep leaving out the front camera. the only reason keep me from buying the Xperia Arc is the missing front camera, and now the Arc S came out, i was so excited but it made exactly same mistake, i don't get it!

Mark Ronchetti, 10 Nov 2011Xperia arc s is absolutely amazing & the screen quality... moreWhats so great about the display?? Even GSMARENAs test says "Display has poor viewing angles", and the colors are not as vivid and accurate as SLCD displays.
Displays are the weakest part of Sonys current lineup of smartfones, i can accept that my Xperia Pro is not as good in the colors as my HTC Desire Z, coz the Xperia is not too bad, but the viewing angle! U need to look at these displays at an exact angle to get ok colors and good contrast, and the backlight bleed is significant, black is so far from black as it can get! My old Nokia N900 had better black!
Its ok i guess, since Xperia are kinda cheap for anroid smartfones, and these crappy displays is a big part of the reason for the low price.

Behzad, 10 Nov 2011hey guys!help me choose between arc s or galaxy s plus please.I compared the Arc S and the Galaxy SII in store. I actually preferred the Arc S screen (it seemed fresher and more attractive) and the whole device of course looks a lot better. I was not too fussed about the dual core - Arc S is plenty fast enough. The Arc S also has a better camera - and it was cheaper. So I got the Arc S and I'm very glad that I did!
