SE has yet to jump into the dual-core bandwagon when quad-core is just about to roam free. But they do have good cameras and nice designs. I think they cater for style more than performance in many regards though! But still, spec-wise, this is a big joke when compared to what you're getting for the money from other brands.

To everyone comparing this to the samsung galaxy S 2.
the xperia arc S isn't supposed to compete with it. It's just a minor update until the release of the xperia duo.
Comparing it specs-wise, it obviously loses. But not everything on paper is believable. The g xperia arc ran gingerbread much smoother than some of the dual core droids out there. It also has style and beauty n its side. The fact is that it can run every application very well. It can multitask beautifully and performs fantastically. Obviously, apps will be developed to tap into the super dual cores. But that will only bring a change in graphics. Youtube videos upto 480p played smoothly. On a smartphone screen, that is enough to watch peacefully. And none of the other smartphones out there in its league have a camera button. This, I believe is a major factor. Lack of a secondary camera is a bit disappointing. But its something i can get over. I would love to buy this if its price is reasonable.

Well!! sonyEricsson The best mobile manufacture because of there designes and it's practical they put the quality in their parts cameras, headphones, screens"Barvia Engine "
SE Aim toward Quality not quantity like samsung " with their 1.4 dual core" what is the befit of dual core and Android can't take the advantage of it just consuming much power and make your handest dead withen 2 hours !!
and stupid Nokia " with million of dozens of handsets "
the only one share the same concept is Apple " i Phone"
SE not that stupid to provide a handest with 2.3.4 with low memory
but sorry SE the only thing i didn't like is that the front camera!!

I am still using my old SE X2, but considering an upgrade. Although the Samsung Galaxy 2 is very impressive.
