2- two speakers instead of one!
3- lot louder!
4- cheaper price!
5- doesnt overheat!
6- because it has no bravia engine the battery lasts
longer and the 1ghz processor works better!
The rest of the specs are the same!

But if you had disabled the DATA instead of network, you would've probably got almost the same result. Androids eat some battery for data connection whether 3G or 2G, though heavily for the former. The update service is constantly searching for firmware as well as application updates.. and all synchronisations.... and You might have noted that market aka playstore consumes some data as well as battery.. From my experience, the phone runs more calm and cool and also use less battery in wifi than 3G provided the wifi point is not too far.
But we have bought the mini for all its features ; not to turn off data or wifi or anything. I suggest get an extra battery and charger and enjoy the phone fully!

Turn off data traffic and WiFi,decrease brightness,turn off bravia engine ,haptic effect
Recharge only when battery is low and charge to 100% without any stop,this helps to increase battery life(underclock helps to have more battery backup)

Hi guys ive been using xperia mini for quite some time now, no problems so far even though my phone temperatures registers at 43 deg celsius no problems so far...feela hot to touch and yet the phone is very responsive, i suppose this unit is among the newer batches of mini? I dont know but One thing i do know is that the mini is lightning fast i installed go launcher and ive been able to costumize the ui like a dream, im able to use widgets and live wallapaper on top of go launcher with no hint of slowdown at all this phone is underappreciated as a powerhouse.... One thing dislike about my phone is not the batterylife per se... But i noticed that with the network set to "gsm" my battery still drained 20 percent in 5 hours without doing anything, wifi is turned off, screen is turned off, nobody texted nobody called t was only sitting for 5 hours and the battery discharged from full 100 percent to 80 percent (according to my battery gauge app) i dont even have any app eunning aside from gauge battery app that is. Tried putting the phone to airplane mode, my battery went from 100 to 95 for nearly 24 hours doing nothing.... Only proves that the network is the one draining my battery really fast, anyone having the same problems?

xperia mini is very nice phone im using this phone but i never got problem, even nice camera resat 720p video suiting and very small size better then another phone everry budddddddy but it.

This is the best smartphone in this price tag. The hands on review are
1.the camera is of 5 mp with led flash. The quality is best of photos and vedios among othet phones in same price tag.
2.the proccesser is 1ghz. Which is powerfull and support adobe flash 11.by which it gives the great internet experiance.
3.android 2.3 os which is so powerfull gives a great interferance to user.can be upgreate.
4.the screen is so bright that gives a great multimedia experaince.
5.it has a gpu which support the high graphic application to run easi on device.
6.it support motion gaming,3g,wifi at any hospot,the speed is good and play youtube vedios easily on 2g.
It has no heating and vibration problem.
Overall it is the best phone with all features in this price tag. I advise people to bye this other than samsung and micromax

please explain....I think unrooting wont help getting warranty,
After rooting we can customise os,,you can have almost all changes to gui,theme,new font etc
You can install tweeks(you must enable clock work mod itz easy task)
Tweeks like better stability,ram booster,wifi booster many more
You can install root based application,which is far better than ordinary apps in some cases

I own this, and I just bought a brand new Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. I will tell you the truth.. Xperia mini is more powerfull than my Tab.. in all aspect. Just a smaller sceen thats all.
