i have a problem with xperia mini pro.it always not responding..anyone can help for this problem

I would like to share my experience with u all, I bought the Xperia mini pro sk17i, tht was my first choice coz that had qwerty and a frnt camera, but to my surprise, i found that popular "static noise problem" in my mini pro too. So, i got a replacement and had tha same issue, i googled it and found that all mini pro's had the same issue, throughout the world. Then i decided to lock down on this Xperia mini instead of mini pro, coz this had no such defect and was almost same. I traded with the shopkeeper for abt 2 thousand rupees, which he returned to me. Now this device proved to be a mini beast! Very nice, solid, gr8 screen, slimmer than mini pro and light too. After a week a noticed that as i had an incoming call, the phone's screen was freezed, i could not answer the call, the screen had freezed, though my live wallpaper was moving. Only the screen freezed, the phone dint hang but to get back control, i had to remove the battery. Now i googled again.... :-) and found several mini's with the same issue and also got no knw abt the sensor buttons aka "caliberation fix" thankfully my device was an already cured one from SE coz i never had that issue, but that screen freeze problem remained (lets call in SFP in short). Now sfp always occured when i took the phone out of my pocket, and had a lower signal strength, sumtimes, the phone just got back into my control as soon as the call ended, or sumtimes a few seconds after the call and many a times not at all, only battery removing was a solution. I also noticed that the onscreen keypad was out when it hanged and...this hang thng only happend on 2 out of 10 calls.
I'm a techie kind of a guy so i researched a lot and found that dis problem was of android version 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 due to some hardware incompatibility with SOME device, which included htc evo, and nexus s. In a course of time a got a SE update for mini, hoping to get a sol to dis prob, i installed it. Unfortunately, i experienced it again, but now it happens rarely only 1/30 times after the se update. A proper sol wud only come, after an android update. Secondly and very importantly, when ur phone hangs, do dis- PRESS THE HOME AND POWER BUTTON SIMULTANEOUSLY FOR ABOUT 5 SECS..... AND ...... THE SCREEN COMES BACK TO LIFE, EVEN DURING A CALL, AND ALSO AFTER THE CALL. NO NEED TO TAKE OUT BATTERY. FOR THOSE THINKING TO BUY THIS PHONE AND ARE CONFUSED B/W MOTOROLA FIRE, SAMSUNG ACE, WILDFIRE S AND ALL OTHERS...... THIS XPERIA MINI IS BETTER THAN MINI PRO AND IS THE FATHER OF ALL OTHER SMARTPHONES IN THIS PRICE RANGE OF 15000 RUPEES. AND YES ITS ALSO BTTR THAN IPHONE 3GS. MINK HAS A GR8 SCREEN, PROCESSOR, CAMERA AND SCREEN TURNS OFF JUST LIKE SONY BRAVIA TV, IN A VRY SEXY WAY...... ENJOY THE MINI, GREAT WORK SE!

adil, 26 Oct 2011can we play avi files in this by downloading some pl;ayer f... moreMost video files work on this phone using either MoboPlayer or RockPlayer. The ones that don't work, or stutter badly are 720p mkvs, and any 1080p file. All other ones (avi, divx, xvid, mp4, mkv) run fine. Even 720p mp4s run fine. Not sure about 720p avi files though (I don't have any with me, so can't check it).

ive been using my cam for almost an hour..no heating problem..i think the 1st batch of this phone got that problem :) i bought mine last friday october 21 .. no heating problem

wanted to buy this phone for long and eventually got it i dont think i made the rite choice should have bought the moto defy....
Sony sucks big time it hangs like crazy.....

i return my Xperia mini in service center this last monday because of the heating problem and auto functioning in back and menu button, after an hour of waiting SE solves the problem by Reprogram and calibrating the unit. i have an application called Battery life it determines the temperature of the phone (or battery) when i play a game my phone starts to heat up and the two buttons are start to function automaticaly i check my battery life app and its about reaching a 38 to 40 degrees of heat. but this after returning to SE my phones do not have the same heat, its like a normal heat and the two buttons are now okay :) because of this im so inlove using my xperia mini.. but im still observing. sorry for my bad english..

Although they knew everything related to it like what's the problem & the solution that is updating drivers, calibration etc.
They were confident in the starting but the problem was not solved.
So they would replace my phone.
These problems are in every xperia mini.
Few people who have not experienced these problems are not heavy users I think.

the vibration and heating problem solved by se technician by changing the pad driver...
thats all ..
if you have any problem regarding heating problem and vibration....
go to the se service center

Calibration fix didn't work for my xperia mini.
My phone will be replaced.
This time I'm gonna get xperia neo v or galaxy sl if they let me do so.

by the way... the battery sometimes heats up without even using it... i think this is the problem most of us has... but all in all, this phone is good.

i bought this phone last month. so far, its the best phone i ever had... i compared it to the samsung's galaxy ace, galaxy tab and ofcourse the acer tablet pc, but none of these 3 has a match on xperia mini. no lags, no hang-ups. its great. the only problem i am encountering is the size... its very small, hehehe...

this phone is half baked, there are many bugs on it. after 2-3months of using it you may encounter battery heats-up easily when you in call and the end key stuck and no operation can be made coz it hangs always. this phone is crap. trust me
