does the touch controls on either side of home key glow?and is there any light on home key,like the xperia ray?I', asking ths because surprisingly thr is no backlight in xperia ray for touch bottoms...How's it for xperia mini?

The screen on the mini is one of the best I have ever seen. The colours are extremely vivid, and the detail is splendid. I do not get milton's problem. The screen brightness SHOULD be lesser in dark conditions and brighter in proper lighting, or outdoors during the day. The Wildfire S has a horribly weak CPU and GPU compared to the mini, its screen is worse, not sure about the camera, and has literally no internal memory. If you are unhappy with the mini, go for a phone which costs twice as much as this, or learn to live with it because it is an awesome phone.

I hope with wildfire s you'll also get better overall performance - cpu and gpu, better camera, louder backspeaker, more screen's depth color for more vivid image viewing, faster uploading speed, and with more reasonable price.

there s no megabass in xperia mini... no music settings can be modified... it has an inbuild equiliser which sucks...

i am so much disappointed for its display after i brought it. I think LED display will be best then LCD but its really sucks. When i under the light the display looks bright but when there is no light the display looks darker. Sony Ericsson should give a manuel display control for stop this harassment..... normal LCD display is 100 times better then its LED display. not 100% happy with it.......now i am thinking why i am brought it!!! i should buy htc wildfire s or salsa. i wish if i change my phone!!!!!

AnonD-23897, 28 Sep 2011well thr recorded video is not im worrying about, its the m... moreDont worry dude, if you dont wanna use 3rd party apps, the preinstalled video player of Xperia mini is more capable then the one in X8, in X8 it only plays h.264 baseline profile, while in Xperia mini it supports h.264 high profile level 3.1 (not sure what does this mean, but high profile must be more advanced than base profile...) - you can read both phone specifications and support files from their whitepaper documents here (pdf):

btw I also own the X8, I remember after I signed my google account, the first apps I downloaded to my phone are file manager, powerAmp, and MoboPlayer, as the SE guys at the store told me that the preloaded media players are sucks - for video, music, and gallery viewer, so they helping me to install the better ones from market.

Ok i`m not need to compare this and it underlevel my unit is, i got x8 and it said it can play h264 but its not!! it always say unsupported codec!! it worries me because if i get an 200mb+ mp4 h264 it lags on 3rd party apps so I really need to know if this play h264(or maybe psp format video) on built in player!!
well i dont want to use 3rd party apps to play my video!

Everyone thinking of buying this phone should buy it without any doubt.
There is no problem whatsoever in the phone.
Flickering is not a problem. You can't even notice it easily. Don't worry about it.
This phone looks great. Screen is nice, Audio & Video quality is great.
No lag or hangups, UI is buttery smooth & looks different from other android phones, gaming is not a problem too.
No vibrating problem, no keyboard problem, no heating problem etc etc etc.
If you having a problem, you don't know how to use it or it is a unit specific hardware problem which can be in any phone in this world.
Once you have this phone in your hand u will start loving it.
The user interface is better than Samsung touchwiz in my opinion but not better than htc Sense.
All in all it is immense power in small package.
What better can you get in INR12500.
