hi everyone.. i have been waitin 4 this mob since june.. but it seems lik it has somethin to deal with d noise issue.. can anyone say is tat issue same 4 al xpeia mini pro.. whether to go 4 xperia mini pro or not..

I just bought this phone couple of days ago...I must say it feels awesome. I just couldn't find anything that's wrong with the phone except the little noise while recording the video. But that noise is very low, u can hardly hear it if u r not paying attention. The mobile Bravia engine is superb. As per the battery life I'm quite satisfied with it. I surfed the net for 3 hrs straight and also made calls for 30 mins and listened to music for half an hour as well. Amazingly, the battery still had 39% charge..I don't think one could ask for more..There's no Exmor R but the camera is good enough. I just love this monster device disguised in such a small package..Kudos to Sony Ericsson..

Does it still... moreI thought that too at first, but the noise is there even when I call someone and phone's sensor puts screen on power saving, so I still think it has something to do with the battery or this phone has some other power related issue.
Looks like people don't read text so well, so here's simple info about the hole thing:
1: Phone has strange noise ALWAYS when screen is on (put it near your ear to hear)
2: That noise is audible even when screen is off IF you make a phone call. (makes calling quality terrible)
When taking some videos with the phone, that noise's volume multiplys on that video = bad volume on your home videos...

People out there those who are having this awesome device please let us know whether there is a hint of noise during shooting a video and does this sound gets recorded in that video??
Want to know the call quality too??
when u work on the phone i mean when the screen is lit on even then does this noise comes??
I was going to buy this cell on 12.08 but when sead about the noise issue then decided to wait a bit and make it clear like whats this issue is all about..

prithvi, 12 Aug 2011you all people are mad.... who all r saying it has some bac... morehey Prithvi..no one is saying that it has some background noise while playing videos..ppl r saying that it has noise while shooting videos n the prob is that this sound gets recorded in the video which is not good for such a high class performance device..hey your having this phone so why don't you record a video n share it with us. It ll be of gr8 help..thank u..n ya also let us know the sound quality of the phone is like or rather i shd say call quality..n ya if possible then from next time select ur wrds properly..

I still think that the background noise is coming from the battery. Like I said before, I sent my phone back to the store where I bought it. I gave them my youtube video with that noise audible and they quickly answered to me and told me to send my phone back to them and they will send me a new one. I propably get this new one next week, so I will post how things come out. :)
But it looks like almost all test videos in youtube has that noise but I think not as loud as on my phone. If this thing is coused by the battery I think it is little dangerous be using a battery that makes that loud of a noise, especially mobile phone battery.
I emaild Sony Ericsson about this problem and hopefully they will answer to me soon.
One thing is sure, they have to fix this problem, because it makes this phone's calling quality one of the worst and this kind of low quality is not acceptable in 2011 and especially from a premium manifacturers Android phone.

Regarding the static noise pb, there is a golden rule i always follow: never buy the first batch of a new phone, wait and let the early buyers discover the bugs...Too bad for them.
