Check if the APN is correct. This is the right one:
Name: myGlobe Internet
APN: http.globe.com.ph (for prepaid)
APN type: internet
After doing this save the changes you've made.

I just checked my Neo V (GB) via PC companion. it says I have 'New phone software available (4.1.A.0.562)'.
Is the 4.0.4 latest?? I get 4.1 here ! Not going to updated yet though, need clarification.

I have experienced many android phones used by friends, I feel I made a very good decision to have bought Neo V. I am still amazed by the capabilities and features of GB. SO I would like to enjoy it for little longer before I go for mighty ICS.
The only problem I am facing in it is that the Email client app is not able to connect to any of my email boxes. Either it says can not get details, or username/password incorrect. Yes, I put all details correctly. Still trying to figure it out.
The heating issue is present, but is completely bearable. For those who can't bear it, use the hands free or bluetooth device! As simple as that !
Also, battery backup lasts for 2 days in normal use. 1.5 days on little extra usage. 1 day with heavy usage.
Rest all is perfect with this device. Am very happy with it.

Unlike updates that are done by plugging the phone to PC and downloading the update files through the PC, OTA update does the same through your phone itself. OTA is usually for minor updates that has small bug fixes or inbuilt app updates. For eg, update from GB 2.3.4 to ICS 4.0.3 was not OTA as it was a major update. But from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4 OTA was possible due to it being a minor one. PC update through PC companion can do both minor and major update.
Note: Suppose you update from 2.3.4 to 4.0.4 , you still have to use PC. Cause without the main ICS files provided with the first major update (GB to 4.0.3), you can't do OTA update. But this doesn't mean that you have to update to 4.0.3 first and then only to 4.0.4...... Direct update from GB to ICS 4.0.4 is possible, but from PC only.
Hope this perfectly clears your doubts.....

@webhead, Bangalore: you can update to ICS 4.0.4 through pcc from gingerbread as update is made available in India. you can't get OTA update for gb to ics. hope I answered your query.

I just updated my phone to ics 4.0.4, update center on my phone is not telling me if there is an update available so i decided to use pc companion and there is ics 4.0.4 waiting for me to download.
