I have used jelly bean rom for a while and enjoyed the smoothness of it but i had to downgrade to ICS 4.0.4 build number 4.1.b.0.587 as this build is good in performance compared to previous versions. dialer is faster than before, over all UI is smooth and above all battery backup is really marvelous. though gingerbread is best in performance but i love ICS UI and hence i am back on stock ICS ROM from Sony.
guys one more thing i would like to mention here android rocks in terms of UI compared to iOS. i got my brand new iPhone few days ago and i don't use it at all because of its boring UI but it's a fashion gadget to show off to friends and public.

AnonD-62707, 08 Oct 2012There you go... Thanx... that's the complete review one cou... moreYeah, UI (user interface) is necessary, we all agree, but UX (user experience) is more important. When I updated to ICS (and other early adopters) it was a case of being up to date and having some kind of bragging rights. Its like showing off in front of friends that I have got the lastest and greatest of android OS on my phone. Showing off the new notification bar, the new gallery, updated apps and cool looking UI with lovely transition effects etc. But after a few days you realise that instead of hearing 'Wow your phone is cool', you end up with 'Hey your phone lags' kinda comments, more often from your friends. We ourselfs don't realise that fact as we are blinded by our ego of having the lastest software and the 'presumed' theory that 'This is a new OS, it HAS to be good'. But one day or another you will realise the utter truth when you either use a GB running Neo V of your friend or a Windows Phone (in my case). Since that day I planned to get my phone a custom firmware with processor overclocking. Slowly I started testing one rom after the other. First, ICS based custom roms (Paranoid Android, one of the best in class hybrid roms) then slowing advancing to JellyBean cyanogenmod 10. The day I first touched JB on my phone, I somehow felt really relieved. Man!! Finally android has something to go up against the smoothnes of Windows Phone or iOS. Jellybean is by far the smoothest OS of android. Gpu acceleration of the UI contributed a lot to running every UI element at 60 fps. I remembered the days of GB when every app felt like they were 'meant' to be run on my phone. Impeccable smoothness combined with the cool UI of ICS, I knew for sure that Neo V is perfect for JellyBean. It would be a utter shame if Sony doesn't release a update of it. But still, jellybean is new and since its only been ported from Nexus devices to other phones and then slowly ending up on our phones (xda developers like FXP deserves huge thanks), it was still not very good for daily use. Occasional hang or lack of features like proper video recording, shaky app support etc makes its a bit hard to use the phone in its full potential. So I decided to downgrade for a certain time (till better roms are developed). But since I already got a taste of buttery smoothness in JB, I could no longer be back on ICS. So I am on a custom GB rom with 1.6ghz overclock, and everything is running perfectly. I feel complete, again.....
That's my story, now THIS is what one should call 'User opinion and review' as per gsmarena standards......hehe....:)

AnonD-62707, 06 Oct 2012Thx @sbdevilmind @Raj as far as ICS goes ppl still say it... moreWhat I have experienced till now is that ICS isn't at all meant for multitasking. It has cool UI elements n all but they simply don't compensate for the utter slowness of response. But if one really want the good features.....then JellyBean is the way to go. Just yesterday I downgraded from jellybean to gingerbread. I am gonna stick with it until jellybean becomes more stable (its new and it not yet properly ported to Neo v, so its not a good day to day rom). But one thing is for certain.... Jellybean is what this phone deserves. Its way more faster, smoother and responsive compared to ICS. Although gingerbread is still the best thing for this phone, if you want stability, speed and good battery life (Jellybean is a big sucker of battery.....cause gpu is on all the time)....

Even titanium backup doesn't backup offline maps data. Neither do nandroid backup. You have no choice but to download it again and again.
