phone camera is not that good.
it's prone to red eyes, even if you enable the red eye reduction features.
all in all, great android phone

It ... moreI don't think it's a virus as suggested by someone below - more likely a sloppy app that you have installed and left some junk files on your SD card. There could have been a hidden ".nomedia" file in placed in your root directory or in the directory containing your pictures. A ".nomedia" file tells the gallery or music app to recursively ignore pictures contained in a particular directory and below.
Install a file manager such as ES File Explorer to see if your pictures are still there (in DCIM directory) . If they are, and then turn on the setting to see hidden files and if you find a ".nomedia" file as placed in SD card or any directory under DCIM then delete it.

It ... moreI think you have a virus in your phone, virus can do that. install anti-virus to your phone and scan it. if the problem still there then you should reinstall the software itself, it is not hardware issue, so do not be worry about it.

Good phone. With wifi/data turned on it lasts about a day - 2 days if you just turn wifi/data on when you need it. Didn't find anything I disliked about the phone, the only problem is that I accidentally dropped my phone the other day and my screen cracked a bit. Devastating when I only had the phone for about a month.
