Hi All,
I have been using the xperia Pro for about 2 weeks now. My unbiased review.
1. Battery is decent for a phone of its kind. Gives me about 2 days of moderate use.
2. camera - focus is a bit of an issue or maybe i am doing something wrong. Low light photos are good.and general clarity and detail of image is good.
3. speaker - decent. Not so loud that you will be able to hear in traffic, in a moderate noise environment you should be able to hear. advice to leave vibrate on.
4. keyboard - One word..AWESOME!!
5. earphones - Decent.
6. speed/lag - not so much. happens if too many services are running sometimes.
7. screen - good..no problems noted so far.
8. call quality - its ok.
I would surely recommend this phone to others users who primarily text a lot. and like to browse the net. if anyone has any questions plz feel free to ask.

You have to use Skype or Google Talk etc. for video calls.
Yes, it has a digital compass.

hi all.....i want to ask is xperia pro has 3D sweep panorama??and does it need to install anything to undergoing 3G with other phone??i mean can it 3G,video call with any phone without need to install software..because xperia Neo no native video calling..besides,what are other negative specification??does it has digital compass readily???please reply me as soon as possible..

good as android phone..but when looking at camera,when we are zooming,always it goes out of focus..no use of that 8 mp camera without zoom clarity.and since the camera is on the extreme left .sometimes our finger will come in front of camera.and also the capture button is also on the extreme right sometimes we feel uncomfortable...and loudspeaker audio quality is very less and if we are placing the phone on a leveled surface that speaker is get closed(for eg.if we place on bed,table or anything),so that a very little sound comes out of the speaker..Better everyone can prefer experia neo which is having almost same features like experia pro except for 8.1 mp camera ,physical key pad and office suite.camera I dnt feel any big difference,and office suite u can download from android market.Even it(office suite) is a paid version,it doesnt cost too much upto the difference in pricing of experia neo and pro(Rs.6500/-)

Pls I need someone to give me an objective n unbiased opinion about this fone. Its lookin too good to be true and i'ld really love to have it but wont wanna regret buying it so... Pls someone?!!!

... moreSeriously dude, you have OCD problems or something. These things are so minor as to be insignificant. NO phone on the market today is perfect. You didn't even notice such issues yourself. The screen is great, and I also don't want wide viewing angles as I don't like other nosy people looking at my phone when I'm using it.
The Xperia Pro is one of the most awesome phones on the market - there is NOTHING that can compete with it in the European QWERTY market, and you have to consider the price bracket and that it is better specced than many more expensive phones.
The only thing I don't like is that the back cover can creak a little, but it's such a tiny issue that it doesn't really matter.

oK, we add to the list of negative things with xperia pro:
1. bad display, very poor viewing angles, weak contrasts and high backlight bleeding.
2. Screen flickers sometimes when under a strong lightbulb and so on.
3. It comes preinstalled with bloatware that average Joe Sixpack may not be aware of or able to uninstall.
4. Compass is not reliable, dont get lost at sea =)

Anonymous, 27 Nov 2011it does use auto-brightness. angle it towards a lamp and yo... morei tried now, and it really flickers, not good no, the OP was right, he should not buy this phone. Everyone else who considers xperia pro should also consider this issue. its not flashing or anything bad, but flickering yes. Absolutely NOT the way autobrightness should be, but i suspect someone here is fanboi and not open for well founded critics against SE or Xperia series.

Anonymous, 27 Nov 2011stop moaning - the mcafee software is good and not a trial.the mcafee slows down the fone and does nothing, just like mcafee on PC. And if u were awake the last 10 years u wud know that Mcafee has themself been target for viruses and hackers exploiting vulnerabilities in mcafee software. Some viruses on windows required mcafee to do their damage, it was a bad virus, hard to remove since mcafee defacto protected the virus. I cud make a bad app to slow down your phone and drain your battery and give u a 1 year full license, would that make you happy also?
Please uninstall mcafee guys, its bloatware that drain your battery and slow down your phone. Uninstall and see the difference for yourself. Those of you who cannot use common sense to avoid malware please buy protection from a serious company, like FSecure.

I did notice that the update had reinstalled the bloatware, mcafee and moxier, I now uninstalled those again and hope my fone will be smooth and snappy again, I will post back about it.
anyone else have ideas for improving performance?
Pls notice that the stupid bloated mcafee has to be updated before it can be uninstalled, so I consider to call it malware instead of bloatware now. Mcafee is just as bad for fones as it is for PC, scary that sony is in bed with those guys.

Anyone else wanna admit that the 4.0.2 sux, so we can determine the cause? My fone is seriously lagging in periods after update, and I did not install any apps since updating.
