The best ever Phone I ve ever bought ...
Display, SOund, Connectivity, slide and THE key board is excellent ... (personally i hate taping on screens.. i love physical kboard)
The issue is with the battery...I guess Its my mistake. When I bought this phone the phone had 20% chrge in it, Shope keeper told me to chrge it for 6 hours ..I never did that, I used it till teh battery was tottaly drained. Funniest part is, I forgot to chrge the phone again that night !!! So i just chrged for less than 1 hour that morning and went office with it .. at around 1pm phone OFF !!! now after that chrge is a big issue.. Its not surviving a whole day !!! :((

            This phone is very responsive
a very nice phone to have for the corporate slave (lol)
though camera usage/function is not fun to use.

I first bought xperia mini pro and had problems with that so switched to this model. There may be quality differences with sony's 2011 phones and I know that some people have static electric noise on xperia pro. I had those with 2 xperia mini pros. But this individual is perfect. Only thing I noticed ofcourse is the weak viewing angle, but I never use my phone from 45degree angle and I doubt anyone else does it either. :) So stop complaining and return your phone if not satisfied that's what I do too... ;)

If you value your privacy, then the viewing angles are perfect on the screen. You can still see clearly at 45 degrees, but any more than that and nosy people cannot spy easily on your text messages when you're on the bus! I really can't understand why anyone would WANT wider viewing angles than offered - I can't think of any scenarios where it would be useful - it's just geeks moaning about things that don't matter in the real world.

The auto-brightness is fine - this guy has even said that he didn't realise that there was auto-brightness - that means that it is working well.

There is NO significant backlight bleeding around the edges. This idiot doesn't realise that the Sony Ericsson skin uses a gradient fill where the colour that Sony Ericsson has made the status bar fades to a light grey towards the edge. The Sony Ericsson skin for the phone dialler is also intentionally designed with black bars that have a lighter colour at the edge. This guy thinks thinks this is a hardware problem, but it is exactly the way it's supposed to look, and if you do the display test in the service menu then you can see that there is no problem at all.

One thing the xperia pro shall hav creds for is the cameras flash. Not great for photo quality but its good, and its the only phone I had that is not xenon but still can use the flash at night for party pictures witout everyone looking like they are sleeping. Most led flash phones fire the flash too early, so it will be blink for the ppl closest, unless ambient light is so strong that you wouldnt need a flash anyway. No blink yet for my xperia pro, finally can get good party pics also when its very dark

emi133, 28 Nov 2011Hey, so there is no major screen-flickering issue? because ... moreIts serious enough to be a factor in deciding. Plus the display has bad viewing angles, very low contrast and high backlight bleed. If display is important then htc desire z is the superior qwerty phone, but all in all xperia pro is better, and cheaper. If desire z gets updated it could be the better option, but for now the htc sense is laggy and full of bugs.

Btw, milestone2 is still a great phone as well.

The guy who posted here abt flickering screens was right, and u think its onli my fone doing this? You feel like you spent so much that you will not admit that the pro has many flaws. Its not perfect, its a cheap phone, flaws has to be expected at this price, especially the cheap bad screen is a direct result of the low price

Guys need some help..there are many services that are running in the background. When i start my phone the RAm available shows around 180 MB, but after a couple of hours of use it comes down to around 140 and stays there. Can someone help identify which services are not needed to be running full time. how do i prevent a service from starting over and over again?
