Sony Ericsson Xperia pro

I love my Sony phone, however recently I changed my password, it required digits and letters which I did. After two days, the option for letters did not appear on the screen, when I tried manually, it doesn't go through. so the phone can only receive calls but I cannot access anything inside!I feel so bad about it. Can someone help!

I really love this phone. The design and everything. But considering is the best of the QWERTY slide keyboard Xperia has they should have put more RAM and internal memory to it and maybe more CPU.
I would stick with this phone for a long while if those things were changed. I will only change it when all the stupid apps that can't be move to SD will take my internal space and the RAM can't handle the running apps.
It is for me a beautiful phone and I wish they improve what I mention and I would buy it again.

When I rooted my xperia pro I deleted the pro launcher and put instead of it the play launcher with its add and preferences ..and media player with walkman app...and updated the video player and livewearmanager with the same of xperia S...i tried to update the radio app but it didn't work...now I am trying to make the games work by the physical keyboard and make it work with NFC

Hi. Xperia pro is my first android phone...i bought it 10 months ago....and still having it...it's very good...but when I upgrade it to ics yes I experienced a little slow down...so I rooted it with locked bootloader...and then deleted some unnecessary apps and made a partition from the sd card to work like internal memory with the (link to sd) app to solve the low internal memory..so I didn't feel any slow any more and became like using GB...and when I play hard games..i make a swapp file with (ram manager)app (256 miga)...so I dont have any problem at all

I very much like the Sony Ericcson stock GB Rom and UI of the Pro. And, wouldn't "upgrade" it to the many-times buggy ICS, nor try any custom rom*, because I simply don't like them and find them quite unnecesary, as the stock Rom has it all working just fine. If I ever get bored of its look I'd use some cool launcher or I'd get another Xperia.
I'm sorry I can't help you with your doubt, but I don't really understant the need of updating to a higher version when this has proven to be 70% of the time unnecesary, 20% buggy and 10% not worthy.
Xperia Pro is a beautiful device, don't Frankenstein it. Ha.

Hi I have been using Xperia pro since quite a while.. Recently I have been experiencing an issue.. Whenever I go out in the sun... the display of my phone goes black/dim.... this has never happened before...
Is there any possibility that i have messed up the setting of the phone? Kindly suggest.

After updating to ICS, Is anyone experiencing frequent wi-fi disconnections?
I have tried Factory reset and even rooted the phone, but the problem was still there.
So downgraded back to gingerbread and using stock Xperia S Home launcher (Ported).

kr8, 26 Mar 2013no no...camera is good when u see the pics on mobile's scre... moreU must be having a defective unit buddy. Ive been using sony ericsson phones for the past 7 years (K750i, W810i, K810i, W910i, Cedar, Live with walkman & Xperia pro)
My brother had the C905 too.......
Even sony ericsson w910i (2 megapixels) had a very good camera.
I am damn sure that xperia pro has one of the best picture quality of all sony ericsson phones.
Better check the image resolution settings in the camera menu.

hi guys this is a good phone... I have using it for 10months now...great phone ever. been using Sony for my life..never been disappointed. I upgraded mine to ICS after 6months...no problem expirienced... what u have to do after upgrading do a master reset and u wont face any problems.. I enjoy the ICS the GUI is good. much improvements.. GB is lame... if u ae using this phone don't waste time just update it to ICS and you will enjoy the pro...the keyboard is great easy typing and fast especially wen u are using it for emails and chating. the camera is good 8mp perfect pictures even in the dark. it runs fine on ICS even not rooted.. but if u are looking for maximum performance you can root it. for more information about this phone here's my email payiya.sipho@gmail.com.

Hey! For everyone: You would like to read my "MY report on the SE Xperia Pro" Just search for starsky182 in the search box right above. It's a bit lenghty that's why I don't copy and paste it here. It has lots of information about this device and its performance.
For the ones asking about how to root this device: A simple search "root Xperia Pro" on google or YouTube would give you the full tutorial/video tutorial. That's it.
If you find difficult to search: You need the Windows program "UnlockRoot" it's a simple process, 2 or 3 minutes and it will be done! Rooted! Then you can trully enjoy this superb device to its maximum! Of curse, read the tutorial, it's very easy! :D

Xperia pro is the best phone i have ever used. Camera quality is stunning. Slide out keyboard is awesome. I use poweramp for music playback and sound quality via the headset is superb.
Cons: RAM and Internal storage size are the major downside for this phone.
Please do not Install official ICS update, bcoz it still has lots of bugs like frequent wi-fi disconnection, laggy UI, bad video recording(only in ICS) etc.

ICS TO GINGERBREAD DOWNGRADING INSTRUCTIONS AND GINGERBREAD ROOTING GUIDE.
To all the guys out there, Flashing a stock ROM and rooting is not a big deal. They are toooooo easy if u have enough patience. Try these links for the perfct tutorial on how to flash a stock rom and to root ur phone.

Just download the file named DooMLoRD_v4_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su.zip from this page to ur PC and extract it. Then double click on runme.bat and follow the instructions.
Instructions:
This rooting process will not work for 4.0.2.A.0.62 ROM. So if u dont want to root u can flash ur phone with the 4.0.2.A.0.62 firmware. But if u want to root ur phone please flash it with 4.0.2.A.0.42 firmware. U can download the files from the first link.
IMPORTANT: U MUST INSTALL PC COMPANION AND SEUS BEFORE STARTING THE FLASHING PROCESS OR THE ROOTING PROCESS. BCOZ INSTALLING THESE TWO SOFTWARES ON UR PC WILL AUTOMATICALLY INSTALL UR PHONE DRIVERS WHEN U CONNECT UR PHONE TO UR PC. SO PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT ALL DRIVERS ARE INSTALLED BEFOR PROCEEDING WITH FLASHING OR ROOTING.
1. After flashing ur phone with 4.0.2.A.0.42 firmware, switch ON ur phone.
2. Go to settings> applications> development. enable USB debugging
3. Again go to settings > applications > select unknown sources.
4. Now double click on the runme.bat file that u downloaded and connect ur phone.
5. Press any key, and wait for the rooting process to complete.
UR PHONE MAY OR WILL REBOOT SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE ROOTING PROCESS, SO DONT WORRY IF IT DOES. ALSO CHECK WHETHER SUPER-USER IS INSTALLED IN UR PHONE AFTER ROOTING. IF THE SUPER-USER APP IS NOT THERE ON UR PHONE AFTER THIS PROCESS, IT MEANS THAT UR

do not buy this phone?(personal experience) worst camera, not even like 2 megapixel(my old nokia n73 can make good picture than this). always network problem, phone heated up, sliding is wobbly. big, weighty, sound quality bad(both earphone & loudspeaker). i recommended live with walkman instead of this. lww is very good phone(trust me), much better camera(5mpx), awesome sound quality, fast, handy, good build quality but screen is small. xperia pro, xperia ray, xperia play, neo v all are bad phone. i'm suffering now and thinking to sale this jerk.
