Well I got this New Sony Xperia Pro today.. and I am very happy with my decision :P. Forst of all I like its camera 8.1 MP and Qerty Keyboard with lid lights.. 8 GB internal memory and I have upgraded to OS 4.0 version... Everything seems to be good... But just one concern, sometimes i find a lag when i go to call option..this is sometimes only...

hey guys, i am planning to buy this phone
so have some queries for it..
1).does the slider gets loose after some
usage?
2).can it run dual core apps like max
payne, amazing spiderman without any
lag??
3).is the camera up to the mark does it take splendid photos as the Samsung galaxy S2 ??......my main concern is for the sliding
keyboard is it really that much durable or
not??

what does sony mean by SCRATCH RESISTANCE DISPLAY?
Is it equivalent to gorila glass?

I never encounter any prob when I upgraded the OS to ICS.. This is the 2011 best Android with qwerty keyboard Smartphone!

This phone is awesome, excellent in given price range.
There is not a single drawback in this phone.
Team who had designed & developed, launched this product had thought a lot & provided all features in minimum price (compared to other similar product manufacturers).
Before buying this phone, i had finalized Samsung S & pro, but bought this phone & not at all regretting.
Guys & girls, who are thinking to buy smart phone in this price range, go for Pro....

No, it does not lag - UI is smooth, and most HD games are smooth. What sometimes happens is that when you are running a game and then exit the game the phone takes some time to re-populate the full RAM with the home-screen data. This is not a big deal as everything comes back to normal after a second or two.
Yes, there is a T9 option for the touch keyboard if you want, but there is no point in this as the default on-screen touch QWERTY keyboard is very good (and also has Swype "gesture input" mode), though I recommend disabling the vibration on it. Nothing else, however, comes close to the hardware keyboard on this -- it is EXCELLENT -- no other keyboard on any phone comes close to the speed you can reach on this thing IMO.

hamza, 27 Jul 2012hey guys, i am planning to buy this phone so have some quer... moregot this phone a week ago, great phone no lagging on ui part, but will lag after playing hd games, it a slider so it got life span, for now it good, one thing is you don't really need to use slider keyboard much cos it got a great onscreen keyboard, also can install other keyboard software from play store, i install cootek keyboard from play store i just use that it works fine, camera good, sound volume from speaker is a bit low, 3g is really fast. overall nice phone for the price.

Hello Folks, just got this phone, superb device esp. for its price, butter smooth operation if u dnt bloat it with stuff.
Its got t9 input, though only in portrait mode..not in landscape.
Its also got image stabilization option in cam settings.
BUT, its got a small(big for me) problem... plz help if u hv faced a similar issue n knw of a solution..When i ateempt to turn on d phone's wi-fi, it resets my wifi modem/router and this goes on indefinitely till i turn off the phone's wifi. There r 2 more droids @ home and a couple of laptops which r connecting fine. So i guess there is sm compatibility issue with phones software(gingerbread 2.3.4) and my particular router. If ne1 of u hv faced similar issues n knw of a sure shot solution, kindly revert.

And about the "laggy" processor, I think u shouldn't force the good Xperia Pro to do things that are meant for dual core smartphones at the same time u do all u other stuff. Please, don't call it laggy. Even a quad core would lag if u force it heavily. Am I wrong? I'd better say "the processor doesn't support doing this, and this and that at the same time, or while doing this or that..." Be OBJECTIVE GUYS. Give specifics. Please.

the photos taken from 8 mp camera are sluggish .
Though taken in enough sun light,pic seems dull.
Is it a phone defect or setting issue ?

Any "lagging" (which occurs rarely) is due to low free RAM.
I don't agree with you about the size though - I think the size of the Xperia Pro is perfect (MK = medium keyboard). For the next one they should just improve the materials and internals.
If you want a bigger phone then they should also release an additional "LK" device. Then we would have:
SK = Mini Pro
MK = Pro
LK = Mega? Pro

Please change the name from "Xperia Pro" to "Expiry Pro" ... this phone is dead ... one month old & the phone is dead ... made a big mistake buying one :-P
