This is very stylish, and so slim. my phone is upgraded into ICS. It's good for capturing photos (very clear and bright). But the only problem is it that the storage is very limited.

well am still using the phone right now,its smart slinky,and very stylish,but when i upgrade it to v4.o4,its started shorting down on its own,and i had to re install its system software,cos i was told the previous has been corrupted.

Also moving apps to sd (if needed with Titanium Backup) helps a lot.

I love this phone but it has one very serious flaw, especially if you bought it through telus. The internal storage on this device is only about 400mb. While I had no issue with this one the phone was new, all of the updates for the preloaded apps that you cannot remove take up more space then this phone allows. This leaves no room for your applications at all.
However, if you can find an unlocked version this phone is awesome! For the two years I have owned this phone I really haven't had any issues with it until more recently. It has a really great camera, screen, and it's overall size is awesome. The battery life is also really good if you control your wifi usage.
Unfortunately, because of the storage issue I am looking at another phone since even my email no longer updates when on wifi networkds.

there's a vendor on ebay selling the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, new (white or titanium colours) with a buying now price of £120. They also have auctions and their reserve price is £105, so if you write them a private message making an offer for £105 instead of the £120 they will usually accept it.
I moved from the Xperia Ray to the Galaxy Nexus, some time ago. It has bigger dimensions and the screen is bigger, however it handles well in the hand (even for small hands) as it has relatively small bezels for the screen size, and it also thinner than the ray.
Despite having a 5mgpx camera, it takes better pictures than the 8mpg on the Ray. Also has a 1.3 mgpx camera on the front vs 0.3 on the Ray
Galaxy Nexus has a 720p screen, 16 GB storage, 1 GB RAM, Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9, GPU PowerVR SGX540 , faster 3G HSDPA, 21 Mbps, no fm radio, ndroid 4.3, low SAR EU 0.30 W/kg (head)
(vs ray 1 GB (300 MB user available), 512 MB RAM, 1 GHz ScorpionGPU Adreno 205, 3G HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps, has fm radio, android 4.0, high SAR EU 0.96 W/kg (head) )
If you decide to buy it then i would recommend you buy the "Baixt Brand New High Capacity 2550mah" battery, for £4.29, has it really will extend battery life vs the original 1750mah.
I use my Galaxy Nexus with no case (has fell on the floor several times and still going), just with a screen protector from clear_protector1 vendor. For me the best screen protectors, very very thin you won't notice it at all.
Lg just launched the Lg G2 Mini, selling it for €350 it doesn't even have a 720p screen and all the other specs are on par with the "old" Galaxy Nexus which is now selling for £105.
At this price this the Galaxy Nexus is an excellent buy! I love the phone. I would recommend it.
I bought recently a Droid Mini (it's verizon branded, but it's unlocked for 2G and 3G worldwide). If you have more money to spend I paid (about £180 with import taxes included from usa for a new phone with bad esn), then the size will be very similar to the Ray.
I haven't received it yet, so can't comment much, unless that its specs sheet is better than the Galaxy Nexus.
Droid mini has 2gb ram, 10.5 camera back, 2mpgx front, better dual core processor and better graphics chip (same graphics as samsung s4).
Also the Droid mini has the buttons off screen whereas Galaxy Nexus has on screen. Consequently the effective screen area of the Nexus is the same of Droid, 4.3" (except for pics and movies when the on screen buttons move away and it becomes the true 4.7").
I won't be able to use 4G in my country as the 4G frequencies are different but im fine with the fast 3G the Droid has.
if you are really on a small budget then look into the KingSing; for the price it has excellent specs, it's a grey Chinese brand but from what I have read on my researches online, it is good quality.
If you are on a big budget then consider the new sony xperia z1 compact. it has a 4.3 screen (although quite large dimensions and screen bezels as it is water proof). It sells for about £300 on ebay.
I spoke of ebay as I always bought my electronics and phones there, unlocked and no contracts, for much cheaper prices than on shops. Hope this helps. Good luck

I had this phone for over 3 years now and is very satisfied with the performance and its sleek design. What amazes me is its small size and thinness. Camera is good too.
But 3 years is kinda old now, and by standard it is slow and outdated. So I'm looking for a good replacement with equal size, better processor, or just better and faster. Any ideas?

Don't go for icecream sandwich in xperia ray bcoz its not working properly when u use d Bluetooth its over...go for new software...i face it twice so i go 2.3.0 android now its better than 4.0 android...

this phone is jux awesome..love it so much rooted and using cyanogenmod 7.2 with 16gig memory card ......battery last 2 days with moderate usage...i can enjoy every game on it(very smooth like dual core)......

Hey guys do you know what is auto focus.... It has auto focus camera. The only thing Is flash will not turn on automatically and also it'll not blink during capture. But it's not a big problem. It's a good phone. Light weight and amazing camera and amazing display shapeless nearly equal to galaxy s3
