hi guys!! my ray have a problem be course of some water went inside of the phone... i can't see anything on my screen. but the screen light is working what can i do????????

Been using more than a year..well updating to ICS with. 587 kernel is good and giving it a root access also using custom rom are very satisfying..

Xperia ultimate hd custom rom give this phone a chance to maximize its full potential..
Nice and handy kinda eye catcher as well for a single core device..

4\5 for me..

Anonymous, 30 Jun 2013ica..i found you are an interesting person..coz u know all ... moreThere is nothing much to know. It is similar on all android phones...just maybe difference is in programs you use.

So for root everything you need is on:

Also find thread on xda developers forum. Xperia Ray development...SUS is official way to reinstall your firmware on phone. So if you are on GB with sus you can update to ICS. And if on ICS, repair/update again with ICS...After that when you get phone running, let is settle down for 5min, do not setup anything...and then do factory reset on phone (delete microsd also). After that...let your phone settle down a little bit and then use Eroot program to root. It is one click tool...so, there is nothin much to do with it. Also, CWM (cyanogen work mod) you can after that install with app x-parts from play store. Download it, run, and select install CWM...CWM is tool that lets you make backup of your entire phone (if changing roms), install better drivers for gpu, camera (cybershot mod),... It is for noobs. Just follow instructions.

So, in short:
1. Sony Update Service - update to ICS
2. Factory reset + wipe sd card
3. Eroot
4. Setup gmail acc, and basic settings
5. Install x-parts app (play store), and install CWM
6. Go on xda and search "xperia ray cybershot" - you get one zip file you select in CWM to flash
7. Go on xda and search xperia ray gpu driver (you have 2-3 versions) - download zip file you flash with cwm
8. You can download patch that fix led bug - search for ultimate led fix - zip file you flash with cwm
9. Dont put in there a lot of apps, just apps you use.
10. Delete bloatware (es file explorer or titanium backup) - you can cut-paste to sd card, so you can get it back if needed. After doing cut/copy/paste with es file explorer you must restart phone
11. cut-paste apps from /data/app to /system/app and change permissions to rw-r-r (like other system apps are) - do it with es file explorer manualy, or automaticaly with titanium backup.

My all apps are on system, just 3-4 are on user partition...

Search my previous posts here - I think i wrote a lot about that...

Every phone hangs with time - so factory reset should do the job, or reinstall firmware (SUS)...Every android more apps is there it is slower. It shouldnt have impact but it does.

Search on xda and sony talk mobile what apps are safe to delete - bloatware (80+ apps)

Also, when system app is updated, you can then delete app on system, because update is on user (/data/app) and old one is on /system/app...old + new version. So I delete for example Gmail on system, and cut-paste new one from data/app to system/app.

Also, you can remove that info about disconected internet, in notification bar...search on xda for "data disabled notification remove" - you just change some text in one file with es file explorer.

Ica, 29 May 2013It can be upgradetd officialy on ICS 4.0.4 (v.587) and phon... moreica..i found you are an interesting person..coz u know all about this phone..i have this phone for almost 1 1/2 yr..now its a lil bit hanging, and mabe the reason is too much process of the phone..i want to know how to rootware and bloatware my phone...can u help me step-by-step how to do this...i truly appreciate your help...thanks in advance..

After that root (Eroot program) and delete bloatware (xda forum what is safe to delete, use ES file explorer). Select apps that are good, bad apps slow down your phone. If you realy prefer gaming, try downgrade to GB and other GB or ICS gaming roms. But ICS stock with root and deleted bloatware is great for everyday use and here and there gaming not demanding games...

the 8mp camera is ok but the quality is not in the top of the cameras which are in the same range. some of the phones with 5mp can do it better (n95 for example):-( pls compare if you can and report back

I bought 1year used phone my phone display has some time blinking not coming soon and. It proces very slow and the temple run game was not playing well some time slow pls any budi know the soluction say it

I have been using ray for more than 1 year and it works flawlessly,,,... The build quality is great.still looks and works like new one..

IF u are fond of playing games too much,then use Ginger Bread or any custom rom
HD games like asphalt7,nfs mw,nova 3 etc runs smooth on mine(using RAYONIUM GB) and still faced no issues at all..

First year it will be good. After 1 year its giving problems. its stucking many times. Process become very slow.
Sometimes you cant open your mails also.
its internal memory is low(512 mb).whis is not sufficient for apps.
