They will all suffer... moreI wasn't aware of all those technical details, but I agree when you say the Ray's camera isn't as good the phones you mentioned. To be honest, I think my old SE C902's 5MP is better than the Ray's 8MP. And the camera's options on the Ray are disappointing, though this can be circumvented by apps.

The phones with the best sensors are Nokia N8 and iphone 4 both with sensor pixel cells of 1.75 microns, compared to Xperias 1.4 microns. To many megapixels decreases cell size if squashed onto a small sensor and thus reduces photons hitting each cell. The iphone4 and Xperia both have back-illuminated sensors (sony call this ExmorR) Id rather use a 5MP 1.75 than an 8MP 1.4. Thats the science anyway. First hand the iphone 4 is better than the Ray (which has same sensor as Arc) in general everyday and night shots so backs up the theory a bit too. I do have the Xperia Ray and really like it, but didnt buy it for its camera. Compared to dedicated cameras all phones are quite bad in quality if being picky. Not sure on Samsung cameras.

ppl who have got this phone - is ray's 8mp cam as good as arc's? r the photos n videos taken from ray as good as the samsung n nokia high end phones? does exmor really make a difference or is it just a marketing gimmick?
finally, is it available in india n for how much? i feel this is a better choice than active, though am a little confused btw them... :)

to all future buyers-excellent phone,excellent battery,amazing telephony and design.one drawback-unfortunately the ram is not 512 mb but only 384 mb with only 220 mb available for the user.believe me is true and definately iam not a samsung fan...

AnonD-13360, 19 Sep 2011did u get ordinary earphone or live sound earphone(in ear)Ordinary headphone, unfortunately. But I didn't really mind because I have the SE MW600 Bluetooth stereo headset which I was planning to use anyway.
