AnonD-112942, 15 Mar 2013please tell me its battery life is good or not On GB battery lasts 24h whatever you do...if use moderate it can last 2-3 days. On ICS lasts about same, but 3G is consuming bit more battery (i think). So it lasts 20h whatever you do and about 2 days with moderate use.
Battery consumption depends on what you do. If you use 3G wifi tethering you can empty your battery in 5-6h. But if you put phone on 2G and dont use much you can get 3 days or more. Also, if you use games with 100% brightness it will empty battery fast.

My conclusion is that battery for Ray is excellent, because it can last long, you can do hard tasks and get hours and hours. And if you want to get stamina - you can set it up to last for few days.

On one charge 100% I can get 2-3 hours 3G surfing web and 2-3 hours of wifi tethering, calls, texting, photo and video recording... Ofcourse at end of the day I put my ray to charger.

For even better battery life i recomend root, remove bloatware, decrease brightness to 30%, 2G,...(explore maybe other roms)

AnonD-125049, 16 Mar 2013Fantastic phone, I love it! If you want better performance ... moreProvide some evidence for that statement! My apps works better on ICS 4.0.4. GB is great, but ICS is better (if you know how to adjust for your needs)

Fantastic phone, I love it! If you want better performance in games and apk's then use Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) instead of ICS (4.0.4)! ;)

I've been using my Ray for about one year. I've found no issue with it except the inconvenience of typing with the narrow keyboard.it's also okay because this phone's for the people who prefer smaller sized smartphone.after ics update it's not been reviewd.the best improvement I see is the improvement of the still camera (not noticeable improvement of the video camera).i must say for a mobile phone it takes remarkable photos, specially at the daytime.even in low light it takes usable photos.im so impressed with it.i compared it's camera with Sony's own Xperia acro s 12mp camera with same still shots at the same time. surprisingly theres almost no difference in the quality of the photos, other than the high pixel density of acro s pictures. both phones take.ray pictures show even more vibrant colours. I still cant think of replacing this phone. it actually does what its meant to do

Been using this for a more than year now, still it can run the latest apps. Even at the dawn of the quad cores I still want to have this bugger in my pocket.

Jhone-bd, 09 Mar 2013could anybody tell me that what is the "Root" ? a... moreBenefits of Rooting an Android Phone

Here are some of the advantages of using a rooted Android phone.

                                Run Special Applications

After you have rooted your phone, you can run special applications that require root access on your phone. When compared to regular applications, root applications
                                provide more features.

As these special apps can directly deal with the Android system files, they can tweak your Android in more extensive ways. For example, you can uninstall multiple
applications silently after you have root access using eUninstall .

                                Run Custom ROMs

One of the main reasons I rooted my phone was because I wanted to install and use custom ROMs on it.

These custom ROMs bring many teaks and performance fixes and are much more user friendly when compared to the stock ones. They are optimized in performance and battery are updated more frequently than the stock ROMs.

                                Free Internal Storage

People who have low internal memory can transfer any application from internal memory to SD card after rooting their phone. There are some applications that provide the option by default. But if you want to force move an app by creating a symlink, you must use an app that only works on a rooted phone. So those were about the merits.

Nothing’s perfect and there are certain caveats associated with rooting an Android device.

                                ---------------------------------------------------
                                Disadvantages of Rooting Your Android

So, let’s take a look at the demerits of rooting your Android.

                                Your Phone Might Get
                                Bricked

Not to demotivate you here, but when I tried to root my first Android phone – Samsung Galaxy S – I bricked it and it was in the service center for next 15 to 20 days. No
matter how good a rooting tutorial is, it’s a daunting task and if you miss out any step or flash a corrupt zip file (that’s what happened to me) you might end up with a bricked (broken) phone.

Now assuming that you are not a power user, you will have to go to your phone manufacturer’s service center and get your phone fixed. Moreover, if they come to know that the brick or semi-brick has caused
because you were trying to root your phone, you might as well be charged for it.

You End up Voiding Phone’s Warranty

As soon as you root your phone, you void your phone’s warranty and if anything happens to your phone even when it’s in the warranty period, the company is going to
charge you for the repairs. In some of the phones, you can un-root your phone, but in most of the phones there’s is no going back.

Jhone-bd, 09 Mar 2013could anybody tell me that what is the "Root" ? a... moreAndroid rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones, tablets, and
other devices running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged
control (known as "root access ") within Android's subsystem.

Rooting is often performed with the goal of overcoming limitations that carriers and
hardware manufacturers put on some devices, resulting in the ability to alter or replace system applications and settings, run specialized apps that require administrator-
level permissions, or perform other operations that are otherwise inaccessible to a normal Android user. On Android, rooting can also facilitate the complete removal and replacement of the device's operating system, usually with a more recent release of its current operating system.

As Android was derived from the Linux kernel , rooting an Android device is similar in practice to accessing administrative permissions on Linux or any other Unix-like
operating system such as FreeBSD or OS X .
