CM, 16 Nov 2012No really NOT. Its just a video light. Not Flash light. we ... moreOnce again, like in previous posts - xperia ray HAVE flash like all other phones. Actualy, ray is better because it have flashlight turned on all the time if you want during taking pictures. And if you dont want that (which is better), you can use app Vignette and select Flash (auto, turn on, turn off).
So Ray DOES have LED FLASH (use vignette), a have LED FLASHLIGHT (use stock camera).
So you can say that Ray dont have smart dial - stock does not have, but you go to play store and install dialer (dialer one).
You dont have DivX/XviD support out of box, but you can install mx player or rockplayer etc...
If there is no hardware LED light - then phone does not have LED flash...but if software upgrade or other app can solve that and give a lot of new and better functionality - then do not give false or uninformed statements!
Xperia Ray HAVE: LED flash and LED flashlight, support for divx and xvid, smart dial....and if you install copilot, navigon etc...you have offline navigation!
Can I say then that Ray cannot be used for REAL navigation!?

crowko, 16 Nov 2012but it does have an LED FlashNo really NOT. Its just a video light. Not Flash light. we need to switch it on, before capturing. This is the only defect, that Sony intentionally done, else it can beat all phones of its class. Specs, here are incorrect.

kuyumad, 15 Nov 2012question to all current xperia ray users...just wanna ask a... moreBack cover is somewhat not very well atached. For example, if dropped it pops up...I solved it with silicon case. Silicon case holds it tie, and even my grip is better...So, i recomend silicon case because it improves usability...screenprotector also - it reduces glare and smudges!
App lgcamera have continuous-focus - it works faster then stock...so, it is beter for recording video!

CM, 15 Nov 2012 I have been using this phone for 4 months. Its simply... moreRay HAVE flash - use app called Vignette! I hate when people dont get something preinstalled and then complain like it is faulty device...For all customizations there are apps! So if you dont like FLASHLIGHT, use vignette with FLASH option!
For better pictures and videos use app lgcamera - on forum.mobilism you can find free beta app. It records better quality videos 6000-->10000kbps, audio 320kbps. Photos are without compression, 100%.
ICS is no go! It is not bug free! It eats up battery etc...

Ofcourse, on ICS burns battery faster. Heating is maybe your devices problem only...
My Ray on gingerbread battery lasts for 24h of heavy usage (video play, gps, max brightness, video, photo...internet, you name it). And if I dont use it, it consumes 1% of battery for 1hour of standby...thats just aproximation of mine...Because, for example over night when I sleep for 6 hours it consumes 4%. So I like to round it to 1% = 1h.
Heating is normal when playing games, talking, etc. But everything up to 46°C is ok. I belive phone have safety for high temps...so it will turn off if overheated.
Ray have larger battery and smaller screen than other phones - so it have better batterylife then others.
Only one thing: ICS is not good for our Ray!
