@uEAu - If we are talking about handling with care our phone, I took care of all my cellphones to the highest level especially my XPERIA X1. I never place any of my phones even on a soft hardwood but I have a soft (really soft) velvet cloth where I always put my cellphones on. But unfortunately, my X1 battery cover is not really good. Just after I bought a couple of weeks, flaking starts (as I have said on my previous post), 3 little areas peeled-off but really noticeable. My P990i, for 3 years, you cannot find even a little scratch on it. That's how I take care of my phones (especially SE phones). I really love my X1, but little disappointed with the battery cover.

regarding the "infamous" Battery Crack on X1
seriously, all you guys need to do is just to be careful on opening the Battery Case, and of course, handle your X1 with care, it's an expensive device, the reason is because i seen my friends took off his X1 Battery Cover so hard, and he cracked his within 1 week of purchase, all i can do is LOL at him, there is nothing wrong with the material of the back Cover, it's made with nice solid Metal Plastic, all you need to do is just handle it with care
btw, nice Phone, and still is!

all of the Xperia are made in Taiwan....
but if you see the inside of X1,every thing are made in France & sweden.
I am using this phone for more than 2 monthes,its wonderfull.....
i love this device.

It does not need Internet access, it uses just satellites. I guess you're executing QuickGPS or Google Maps, these applications do need Internet Access.

Hey guys i jus ordered this phone from dubai but the only surprise which i found was the phone was made in taiwan...is this an original set n how is taiwans manufacturin...i mean can we use is ruff n tuff ???? Or is it delicate ??? Plz reply am in complete delimma to return it back or to use it.....thankz

How do I use GPS on Xperia? Everytime I try to use the GPS, it connects to the Internet. I thought GPS dont require Internet connection. PLEASE HELP...THANK YOU

I bought Xperia in March. Iam hardly using that. Styll i feel Xperia is better choice than ever. No need to worry about cracks. 3 tyms this phone dropped from my hands. Still no errors. Only scratches came in. Thats all. Feel the taste of Xperia. Try it without fear.!

Hey Guys, I'm about to buy x1 in a day or two.
...but im worried about the "X1 case cracking" complaints and also the keyboard paint coming off.
Im in India and have not heard anyone complaint frm here.jst wanna knw the problem is still there in the later manufactured models.
Also wnted to knw if touch HD is better option than X1.(wnt to knw the performance diff only)

@4PEN - You are lucky having a nice quality of battery cover. I really wanted to fix my battery cover but I think the only way is to buy a new battery cover which I don't know where I could buy in Saudi Arabia. One of my officemate bought X1 (silver - after seeing me using it) a month ago through AXIOM at a price of SR2,700. My friend was so satisfied also with his XPERIA X1.

Anonymous, 21 Jun 2009xperia is better than omnia in all aspectsI have black colour X1i and the battery cover is well built. Try getting yours to be fixed. How much is X1i i Saudi Arabia btw?
