Got my X1-Silver addition 3 months ago, with in the first 3 weeks the phone started lagging, then stopped(unresponsive for minutes on end). And finally the phone went completely hey-wire!! Started making phone calls by it self, touch the messaging and it starts typing by itself. I'm a big SE fan, and for that reason tried to be logical. Run an update, and the update fixed the phone for about 2 days. And again all problems returned, worse than ever!! So called SE technical department. ANSWER: Your phone's hardware is damaged.
I'm like HUH!! this phone 3 weeks old. Try that for bad luck. If i weren't a SE fan i would have snapped the phone in half.
Conclusion: I sent it in, they replaced the defective hardware, 2 weeks later i had my phone and it works like a charm now! Pitty they didn't include the Xenon Flash like my K850i. Other than that - GREAT Phone!!

this is a damn good phone. Anyone have any problem with it, it because they do not know how to use or Nokia fan

when my pnone is conecteted my pc does not recognize it, what seems the problem? remmember iam using windows vista 32 bit.

First and foremost,
a big thanks to ring-bearer @ XDA for this tip.
my touchscreen used to be really unresponsive in the past, and i just grew to accept it, till today :)
Here's how to make your touch screen much much better. and i just plagirised :)
1. Use a registry editor.
2. Navigate to or search for:
HKLM/Drivers/TouchPanel/PressureThreshold
and
HKLM/Software/OEM/TFLOSettings/FingerPressure
(eg search on "pressure" and you'll find both)
3. Edit the values to any VERY VERY high value such as 999999999 (nine 9s)
*** CAUTION: do NOT change either of these fields to anything less than about 2000 because if you go low enough you will make your touchscreen unresponsive, at which point it's tricky to change it back (learned the hard way)
4. Soft reset
5. Be amazed!

I did a search on what all the specs of the X1 has thats currently for all phones and the out come............................................

only one phone that have all the specs is the Sony Ericsson X1 .

If SE were such poor phones why do they lead in tech,
just shows that SE leads and all other brands follow/copycat SE and they can't be original to come up with new ideas even so called nokia and samsung lag behind, HTC and Apple close but not enough to give SE a run for their money. Take that to all those that says SE phones bad and do your home work first before attaking SE .

is it possible for me to restore info (messages, contacts, multimedia) from my p1 to the x1?
also, how do i set an mp3 as a sms tone?

I've use X1 for 1 month a go and very like this smartphone cause X1 have more all feature that i need and i'm use for my bussines everyday. X1 is a good performance for push email and i'm used for several account; live.com, gmail and yahoo. All account it's work great for pushemail and very past as item arrive (paster than my Laptop that using WIFI in my office).
Beside that, when i'm at my office i can use wifi network and it
s work grat too. The cameraand keyboard is ok and easy to use.
X1 can be intall 3 party application like TFD 3D as good as original TFD 3d for HTC touch.
Conclusion, X1 is better that blackberry and omnia, HTC

Spb Mobile Shell 3.0 works perfect, it replaces the previouly istalled panel but the new version doent work as a panel but replaces the today screen, cool desktop enhansement utility, makes interaction with the phone very simple & easy, effects are very attractive. Crack for version 2.0 is available & using the serial it can be updated to 3.0 with almost half of the price.
