Got tired of searching xperia x1 themes. Finally came across a site where the themes actually work.

        Very cool themes:

˝X1 is one of the biggest flop of 2008!˝

˝It may have been the most eagerly awaited telephone of the year... and it may well have been the most disappointing telephone of the year, too. Introduced in February with (almost) operational prototypes, the phone has only just become available in stores. Its “revolutionary” Windows Mobile interface was not only slow, but it also wasn’t any more functional than other operating systems from HTC, Samsung or Asus. And since there’s only one Windows Mobile model from Sony Ericsson, developments for the proprietary interface, quite naturally, are scarce. What was supposed to be the ultimate smartphone is at best only passable, and at worst a total failure.˝

this is the best mobile/pda ever released, its a nice upgrade from the p1i, cellphones lasts according to how you take care of them...i have never experienced anything bad with any of the SE devices i had, i moved from the z600-p910-p990-p1-xperia x1, so far its the best of them all, and in between i owned plenty popular phones from nokia, samsung and moto in the past and played with the ones i never owned like the iphone, but only xperia rules!!!

A superb 3D Arcade game has been spotted called XTRAK which utilises the hidden abilities of the ATI graphic accelerator found in Xperia X1, HTC Touch HD, Touch Diamond/Pro. Gameplay involves controlling the main character of the game on a futuristic motorcycle zapping monsters. Download from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=497243&page=2

I've had mine for a 3months or so now, and the Xperia X-1 is a great phone. Easy and stylish music/video interface, smooth video playback(don't use coreplayer) on a crystal screen, very good sound through the supplied headphones, and a responsive touch interface.I changed the Radio, now call reception is absolutely superb, and I work in a metal cage on the 13th floor! GPS is super accurate, and fun when used with Google maps, and internet connectivity through wi-fi, 3G and GSM is easy with respectable speeds on all three. It comes with Opera browser too, a massive improvement on the standard Windows IE. Windows 6.1 is improved with the use of S-E's panels system, which are easy to download and install, and the phone is nowhere near as buggy, slow, crash prone, as my previous N95 8GB. It ain't cheap, but it is clever, has loads of software already available, plus java apps too, and if you aren't too "flash" it won't attract unwanted attention like other touchscreen phones. Basically it's a smart phone for those in the know.

I have had mine for a little over three months and all in all its a good phone. The camera is a bit rubbish - the touch focus drives you mad!

                          The negative things....
                          1. The camera
                          2. The touch screen sometimes doesn't work at the edges not always just sometimes.
                          3. The battery often comes out and your phone goes off even if you only slightly knock it.
                          4. It scratches really easily - it looks great for about a week before the paint rubs off.
                          5. Its really slow to start up.

                          The positive...
Too many to mention - seriously it is a really good phone however, I probably wouldn't buy it again because I think there are cheaper and better alternatives out there.

But I don't regret getting it - just regret getting it on VODAFONE - seriously their service has gone downhill in the last 12-18 months.

But anyway other than a few minor issues its a good phone.

                          Hope this helps.

Oh its a million times better than the iphone (which I have had) and the storm (which I had for 16 hours before I took it back) out of the three the X1 is the best..!

The problem with the X1 is that WinMo runs on it much less reliable than on Omnia.

That si the reason Omnia outsell X1 12:1.

And the reps use the Omnia as a reference?
                              - sad try to push X1.

                              HTC made X1!

The X1 is a touchscreen phone, and it's got one of the biggest and best screens ever seen on a mobile phone. At 3 inches across, it's almost as big as the iPhone 3G's 3.5 inch screen, but here's the thing: whereas the iPhone 3G has 480 x 320 pixels, the Xperia has a massive 800 x 480 pixel resolution: that's 2.5 times as many pixels. Big isn't always better, but when it comes to touchscreen phones, it definitely is. As well as providing a brilliant platform for the touch-operated user interface, the display also offers a superb environment for web browsing, video streaming, photo viewing, etc, etc.

A lot of thought has gone into the user interface design of the Xperia. As well as the finger-operated touchscreen, there's an optical joystick and a navigation key. To use the optical joystick you brush your finger over the touch-sensitive key to move the mouse pointer on the screen. The navigation key is a conventional 4-way key that can be pressed to select an option. Handwriting recognition with a stylus is available as an additional text-input method. But the X1 holds another secret within: a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard. With the keyboard in position and the display in widescreen landscape mode, the phone resembles a mini-laptop and offers a lot of the functionality of a real laptop - but more of this later. For the moment, we'll just say that with all the different input options available, every user should be able to find a way of working that meets their needs. This is not a difficult phone to use, although its advanced options do present something of a learning curve.
The phone feels very solid too. It uses a premium metal body and feels like it could take some knocks. But the solidity and wealth of features leads to some bulk. It's a big phone, and quite thick too, at 17mm. And it certainly is heavy. In fact it's the heaviest smartphone currently in the shops by our reckoning. At 158g it weighs more than twice as much as the Sony Ericsson W890i for example. It's not a machine for wimps, but it manages to look very nice despite its porkiness. It's available in a choice of Black or Silver, both of which look nice and businesslike.
The user interface is designed around a "Panel interface". Each panel provides an environment customised to a specific activity, such as web browsing, messaging, playing music, etc. We don't think that this is quite as revolutionary as Sony Ericsson claim, but it looks nice, works well and we have no issues with it.
The X1 is a Windows Mobile smartphone. Windows Mobile has matured a lot since its early days and is now a robust and powerful OS. It's also used in the Samsung Omnia, which has proven itself to be a very stable and robust smartphone. Running Windows Mobile offers several advantages. As well as being stable and fast, it's a familiar environment for PC users, and brings a lot of familiar functionality from the desktop to the mobile. For instance, the X1 uses Outlook Mobile as its email application, and it uses Office Mobile to let you view and edit Office attachments. Business folk accessing their corporate mail via an Exchange mailserver can stay synchronised using Exchange ActiveSync. We hesitate to say that the X1 can match a BlackBerry for power and ease-of-use, but it's arguably true.
