The person who was making comments about this phone being "Crap" as he or she likes to put it is wrong! This phone is one of the most up to date phones of it’s kind it works very well on all features and meets it’s objective for business. I also want to ad by looking at the anonymous posters language and the way he or she types only means they are a stupid little child and cannot be bothered to review something properly.

HTC has posted their 2008 financial results, this time in video form.
They have announced around $4.5 billion in revenue (up 29%) and $931 million in profit. Based on their high margin fashionable devices they managed to raise their margin by 1.1% to 33.5%, and increase after tax profit by 18.8%. only around 1 million Android devices were sold in 2008
The HTC Diamond was HTC’s hit of 2008, selling more than 2 million in 6 months, an all time record for the company. HTC continued to build their own brand, with ODM work accounting for only 10% of their revenue in 2008.
Despite the economic downturn HTC remains optimistic about the future of the company, and expects double digit growth to continue in 2009 and the future. This optimism is reflected in their purchase of land in Taipei for a new R&D facility, and their expansion of their production facilities in Shanghai which should come on line in October 2009.
HTC’s shares are up 10% from February 2009.

Windows Mobile sold some 42million handsets in 2008 but who cares?it's an OS for enterprise and tech freaks...what i'm trying to say is high sales figures does not mean the product is better,just has mass appeal the same way ford sell far more cars than ferrari. personally, i prefer symbian as first and foremost the phone is a phone with added capabilities wheras windows Mobile devices are mini laptops that can make calls. both good but appeal to different segments

SE unable to give X1 away free (with contract) - people shortly realize it is slow, unreliable, and inconvenient.

i purchsed xperia bout 3mnths ago n it was crap call recepton was da worst ever n wifi dont work screen is total crap same as 4yr old nokia wiv 65k n video n cam r crap 3.2 mp is crap 5mp is minmum now xperia battery was total crap last bout half a day bt wurst fing was the build quality it was built like dog crap n looked cheap scratched easy n case cracked like cheap sh!t n dont go wiv windows mobile coz its like warm dog crap makes u feel like bein sick

Here we go again How can you expect anyone to take you seriously when you describe something as 'crap' ?! I've been using symbian,WM and osx Let me tell you what i use my phones for and i will tell for how they compare. Phone calls - all have similar call reception but n95's hard keypad is easier to use. Browsing: Xperia wins hands down, n95's services browser is not at all good and opera 8.65 for symbian is quite poor. Iphones safari can lock up but it is quite good

.---Messenger:wm rocks, Symbian almost working good, a few bugs on my nokia, like sound going off even if you have windows open, iPhone - well you can join and chat, but if you open any other application you will be signed out, what a joke...
---Background profile changer:WM,Symbian both OK, wm a lot more can be customized, iPhone, can't have background applications...
---remote desktop:well here are pretty same, except symbian ---qwerty:well i have to have qwerty, just how i use messenger 24/7 and all, no iPhone with qwerty:)
---everything changable/hackable:only WM:)
---networking:wm perfect, like laptop, Symbian have smthing half functional called SymSMB, well iPhone maybe can have network application so you see file, but no real network, as it has no background applications, and therefore can't stay connected
---multitasking:well prety much covered before, only iPhone hasn't got it, only one application can be open...- that is what make iPhone phone, and not smartphone. You can't even open google maps to look for street name, than google about that street or and go back to google maps, as every application is closing in between... I call that pathetic, can't live with that, this is one of main reasons not going for iPhone, strange how people who are against iPhone don't even know this is the main downfall...
Only Windows Mobile is replecement for laptop, no other OS.
It is however true many don't need all that functions, but just stop calling wm bad OS, because you dont need or understand how to use it. You can have nokia s60 or iPhone with lesser functions and but better looking interface.
Though if i was one of you, not needing these things i would buy LG viewty, has everything iPhone does, even the looks+real camera(like the one you buy seperatly)- it costs 180 or less:) and it is not the only one.

I think sony ericsson is losing the game,seems like idou=lender of the last resort.xperia 2 wid symbian sound much sweet deal.As far as this xperia goes the window is closed for fresh air

I really enjoy working with my X1. Its comfortable & fast. graphics are fascinating. T9 is really useful. there are lots of surprises in this phone.

Sure, it does have some built issues, mine had a chip and was replaced under warranty in under an hour (vodacom SA). The OS, well it's winmo and it's not pretty, but the customising options are endless from ROM's, to radio upgrades, panels, UI's and just everyday apps that makes this phone a joy to use. Yeah sure SE failed us miserably with the phones software but thanx to the guys over at xda and other sites we're truely experiencing a wonderful mobile experiance. We now truely have a mini laptop in our hands. The screen is great for web surfing and watching HD movies on the go, it's a truely worthy successor for my SE K750i ;). Oh yeah, surfing the web, watching movies and playing music sucks battery life. My old K750 went for 5 days on one charge with just making calls and texting, but as soon as used the internet I drained the battery in half a day, my X1 lasts longer :). This is the case with all mobile devices, data chows battery life. I know the learning curve is steep , if ur not used to winmo, I know, but once u get the phone to do what you want to, it turns out to be bloody brillaint! ...and no I don't work for SE. So pls grow a brain dude, it'll help!
