I was delighted with my Xperia on arrival, however I was pleased to sell it in the end.
It was very slow and hard to find bits quickly. I have obviously sold it for a much easier to use phone putting it simply.

Can anybody tell me if this phone allows to easily record the conversations (so that my voice and the voice of my caller is well heard)?
What I want is having the ability to record the conversation without browsing through tons of menus- 2-3 clicks and recording to a file when needed...
I have this option in my old W910i, but I've heard its not possible in windows mobile systems anymore...
Thank you very much in advance for help.

Does this phone have the problem of automatically connecting to the net by itself like the iphone?

I agree:
The speakers could be better - much better.
The volume is very low!
The reception also very unreliable besides the OS.

Piyush, 11 Mar 2009The Call quality is even better than the Blackberry bold. ... moreExcept the Windows operating system?
:)
That is like the chevy is a good car except the engine! :))
X1 is one of the biggest flop of 2008!
˝It may have been the most eagerly awaited telephone of the year... and it may well have been the most disappointing telephone of the year, too. Introduced in February with (almost) operational prototypes, the phone has only just become available in stores. Its “revolutionary” Windows Mobile interface was not only slow, but it also wasn’t any more functional than other operating systems from HTC, Samsung or Asus. And since there’s only one Windows Mobile model from Sony Ericsson, developments for the proprietary interface, quite naturally, are scarce. What was supposed to be the ultimate smartphone is at best only passable, and at worst a total failure.˝

people who say this phone's performance is shacky . . .
they are wrong.
Performance is perfect and when it comes to sofware support, it supports everythin since it is a windows mobile.i am auser and i ran all sorts of third party softwares which other phones cant run.
So if you cant make the phone do something then it's not the phone's fault... it's your lack of knowledge.

I just shifted from a bold to Xperia....Xperia is indeed a pleasure...except the windows operating system. The panel interface actually makes Xperia very easy to use...though the speakers could have been better.

Colin Farrell, 11 Mar 2009I've owned the unit for some 3months and never had any of t... moreYou might be very lucky.
The X1 performence very shacky.
For some reason the software (or hardware?) has much more problems than other WinMo phones.
Being one of the best can be said for any model since the number of models are few.
I think HTC was smart not to create a competition for its models and SE was fool to contract HTC.
X1 is just a disasteras and a big loss for SE.

Yes I agree!
X1 is totally outdated.
3MP camera
lousy video
battery is weak
software is too buggy and the reception is unpredictable
HTC made model and now SE swears that HTC will never make another SE model.
I guess not because SE is too happy with the quality.

Its a great phone for those with the time to learn how to use it. Mines been fully functional and intuitive and easy to use. But you have to enjoy the detail.
