It can be left on charge all day like laptops when in use so alot of people are making the mistake of not realising... it is a pocket laptop..

I get about 1.5 talk hours between charges. The wife and kids use it for games in between. To be honest I do not think ANY phone battery on the market today will last for 10 talk hours.

As far as I know ALL models come with 8Gb SD card (at least here in South Africa)

I just picked up this instrument and must say its great. i have a query and wondered if someone could help? I am a movie buff and tend to download movies through torrent a lot and they are often avi files as everybody knows. Sadly default media player doesnt play this extension.

my knowledge on technology is fairly limited and looking at the comments posted on this forum, i figured that there could be two solutions to this problem - install a player that will play avi files or convert avi to wmv to make it compatible with media player. I have been unsuccessful in doing both!

Compatible player - tried installing various players as suggested by some of you but it simple wont recognise the moment i transfer the setup file and install it.

Convert to wmv - managed to successfully convert avi to wmv (using prism video convertor) but media player still wont play it.

I would really appreciate if someone could offer solution to this problem.

I have the Sony Erricson P990i and this is a brilliant little phone. But the battery does not last. I`m going to take another chance with Sony and buy the Sony Ericsson Xperia becouse of the 10h talk time option. But overall Sony Ericson Rocks...

I have it for a month now. I had a bad experience with my TYTN II . The motherboard malfunctionned after 14 months !! I prviously had a P900. Sony Ericsson are always incomparable and incompetable.

LARA, 02 Mar 2009(GSM ARENA 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM) Good day all, I wa... moreHi Lara,

I have been installing a lot of trial versions of programs on the phone's memory before I purchased the microSD card. I also had some music copied onto it, and at one point the remaining space on my phone was down to 10mb.

I did not really see much difference in performance. But just like you, I too thought maybe it's better to leave some more space on the phone's memory. So when I got my memory card, I copied all the music onto it, and reinstalled some softwares on it (i.e. those which dont really need to be on the main memory, eg SPB Backup, IM+, etc. But left programs like Point UI Home2 and all the other Xperia panels on the phone itself.)

They way I look at it is - The phone's internal memory would certainly be faster than the memory card (even Class 6, which is currently the fastest on microSD). So it's a good idea to keep system softwares like keyboards or x-panels on the phone. Other programs that I need to run only sometimes, I have put them on the memory card. And of course all media files are on the card now.

I know it's not much help, but these were my 2cents [or 2pence :-)].
