To all UAE user of XPERIA X1 - how much this wonderful unit now in UAE in ordinary cellphone shops (except AXIOM coz price in AXIOM is realy, really high even here in Saudi Arabia. Appreciate a reply.

It appears that the majority of you guys commenting on the phone have no real idea as to what and why they are the way they are. Many of you are complaining about the 65k color screen, saying it's whack and sony has got it wrong. For you dummies out there talking about things you don't understand, it is Windows Mobile that is limiting the resolution of the phone to 65k! I REPEAT. Even if you were to design a phone with a screen resolution of 16m colors it would still only show 65k if it's using windows mobile. And have most of you even seen the screen of the xperia? It's the same resolution as the htc touch HD, and it's not called HD for nothing. I hope when you dodos are debating on what is better you actually know what you're talking about.
And by the way, russian military technology rules over america. Read people, ignorance is not bliss anymore. Peace.

Iam pissed with this phone, just after a couple of months of purchasing my Xperia, i found out it has started developing cracks, I tried to return it to get a new one, but to no avail... Now am left with a fast detioriating phone...
Iam so bloody pissed off right now, i regret ever spending a dime on this crap, if i knew i would have purchased an offering from Nokia or Motorolla. My advice to u guys is don't buy this phone, its build quality is nothing but crap, instead wait for the Nokia n97 it is a better offering.

is there a version without that keyboard? This phone is everything I want on a cellphone except that keyboard . It makes the phone much thicker than it should be.

Played with the X1 yest at the Telstra T-Life store in George St, Sydney.
Looks the goods, more responsive than I thought it would be.
The text was very small (but super clear - amazing resolution). I found myself using my fingernail tip more than finger tip, but I would say the font size was on default, and not maxed out.
