Pointless, 14 Nov 2008To anyone who has the XPERIA: What is messaging like? ... moreWM is an OS you can tweak and customize to your hearts content. It's not like Symbian where you install a theme or two.With WM you can change Splash screens, colour of text, bars, scroll column width, start up folder, camera, hardware keys etc etc in other words you can modify whatever you want.

I got this X1 for over 2week now . The phone was great fast no problem but 2 things that didn't do well was too many drop call I didn't have problem with I900 samsung same area where I live . second the battery could be better last around 2 days with 1.5 talk and 1 internet

What is messaging like?
Im quite worried about windows mobile tbh, I have never used it before.
Can you apply themes to WM? Like change text colour/background to the whole system?
Can you change the song when playing music in the background by pressing and holding the volume keys (forward or back u no)?

I'm having a really hard time getting a hold of this phone. Absolutely everywhere I go is either sold out, or in the process of selling their last one. Still, guess it shows that the phone is immensely popular. I've also been asking the stores I've visited how many of them have been returned, and hardly any of them have been. Guess there aren't all that many problems with it...

The four aces of 2008 from SE, don't know wha to choose ! W980 -8gb,unique light fx, fm transmitter / Xperia-pocket vista,panels,strong battery,800x480 display / C905 8mp cybershot,wifi / W902 first 5mp walkman, 8gb m2 card ....if i could i would have bought them all,starting a collection !

Got it at least over a week now on Vodafon very fast mobile internet can't fault it. Features is superb, style fantastic screen size very acceptable performance great my best ever mobile so far. Sorry to disappoint of non X1 fan this phone is worth every penny and every tick of a time to play with. Some people say screen is not that big and my only suggestion is get a 57in LCD mobile phone and carry it everyday and i'll use X1 25hours a day 366 day a year thats what it worths.

Well, i have this XPERIA X1 over a week now! And this is my very first WM handphone.
Well guys, i gotta assure you i'm very much impressed and very satisfied with the performance of this phone so far. Rumours about XPERIA X1 doesn't receive good signal, the battery life sucks, and whatever negatives about it are all very untrue.
I gotta be honest to you that this phone has everything it has...the hardware is good, the speed is fast, the camera is good and clear enough even though i switch of the light in my room, and take a few shots with it in very dark environment. The battery life is super, i only charge it after 4 days of usage. Well, it depends on how you use your phone though, don't tell me that you can switch on your wireless modem and never shut it off and you start to complain that the battery of the phone doesn't even last a day?! Oh come on! It's only those who's ignorance likes to complain.
The sound quality is good although i would say the speaker isn't quite a satisfy. :D
About the design, there's no point to argue about it as we all can see it by ourselves. A 10 out of 10 for the design of this phone.
And i assure you guys, Sony or Sony Ericsson has the way of doing their things. Unlike other manufacturer or other brands, sony or sony ericsson just don't just put everything with the highest specifications together and call it the good gadget! It's just something like you're trying to buy a 70" plasma tv when you don't even have the space at your home....if you understand what i mean ;P
So no doubt about it...this is a good WM phone.
