HTC - come on guys get with teh programme... Sony is the best by far, there is more technolgy in in SE than any other mobile communicator. My advise to all is stick with SE.

I am afraid in terms of user friendliness, display and access to programs and applications, the Touch Diamond is far superior to the Xperia. In terms of display also the Touch Diamond colours and display are far more brilliant and better designed.Incidentally I have not been able to find any voice dial facility in the Xperia X1. I am in fact planning to try and return the Xperia and to keep the HTC Touch Diamond as my primary phone. For those who like keyboards I would recommend the HTC Touch Pro which has all the same advantages over the Xperia including a better keyboard.

Well the screen and camera are ok, as long as tou dont start to compare it, notika has a bigger screen, same camera. OMNIA has a bigger screen and a better camera, HTC HD has a much bigger screen and a better camera. So the only adventage it has is the slide out qwerty. From what I've heard its panels are slow. But I like the idea, and the phone desiogn is nice)))
You have to compera the phone to know if its good or not.

..do u know tht as a fact? or ur juz assuming? don underestimate us ite? ur not the only 1 out there usin wm os cell phns..if they r facin probs wth the phn they hav the rite to share it in here..don b blinded wth a brand like tht man..its juz a phn for gods sake..u don hav to force urself to overlook all the troubles UR havin(which u admitted in ur comment already btw) wth it n yet say its a good phn..coz if its not..thn its NOT! end of chapter period

I do not get it! Why you assume that you are the smart one and the rest of us just...
Some of us had used the WM and the X1 and still getting lots of problems with it.
You happy that is fine but that is not a proff that all or most units work fine!
After all it is made by HTC - not a quality oriented manufacturer. HTC is known to have reliability issues.

Just got it since two days... after tweaking the phone a bit, i must admit that this is a wonderful phone... Nice screen and keyboard, panels a bit slow but the OS is so fast... Im using Touch Flo 3D on one of my panels... Impressive phone... Nice camera for a windows mobile and the touch focus too... Mp3 sound very good... People complaining are those who have not yet have the phone or is their first time with WM os... Check on the net for tweaks to optimise your X1... Really a great device from SE...

guys,, eazy out there, if your an avid se fan youll understand that se phones have its own unique char/spec or what so ever you may call it and se if you notice has many shortcuts to what apps you want to use it also has many tricks/style for your convenience. all you have to do is to try searching and be innovative. sample if you want to save no type, you can use highlight to see other options like save on sim or phone or send pics msg etc or vediocall a lot more things to discover.
for the issue of nokia and se, i think its like these nokia is for all class of people and se is for those class a and b, those that can afford to buy it coz se is like a class phone.

guyz i know we hav our own brand preference wen it comes to not juz cell phns BUT everythin we buy!..BUT lets juz keep ths segment to talk bout the pros n cons of the SE Xperia..i know it helps wen u compare it wth sm other phn..BUT lets juz keep it to an independent n decent manner of comparison..ONLY!

It does have 3.5mm jack, 3" is alright, definitely not that small, compare it to HTC Diamond. Camera's fairly good for a smartphone. The Specs are currently one of the best out there.

You sure about that statement? Really sure?
Because from my experience phone shops in Australia stock and sell alot more Nokias than Sony Ericssons. I could find some proof to back this up however I am too lazy, the proof is out there though if you can be bothered finding it.
Maybe Nokias do crash and hang and whatnot but that doesn't mean they suck. If they sell more than other brands obviously they can't be that bad

I dont understand why its so slow when you cha... moreIn the p990i turning off transitions helped the phone a lot but still not enuf but why should you have to disable items the unit should be enuf to power the functions and that includes battery..That said using an external aerial increases reception and battery life but every one wanted internal aerials so that was a stepback in my opinion..IF xperia needs more oomph and that reduces battery then up batttery as required,,the e90 i might get is heavier and we will have to get used to heavier devices if thats wats needed OR get back to external aerials even pull out type OR wait till chips get smaller and smartfones use even less power OR the lithium battery that last 10x longer appears its been proved but not yet in production..
