why being an idot waiting for this stupid crap....go buy Nokia N96 , Samsung Ominia, HTC Pro. OH hey goog new for who has T-mobile.... upgrate your Plan to get the HTC GOOGLE G1.....i bet your will love it ...click on HTC Brand here look for G1 or go to tmobile.com.....X1 will not be out until 5th of Jan-2009.i did contact SE. i waited for it before too.

Just seen the x1 yesterday as one of the sony distributor bought it. It is BLOODY BRILLIANT.
The silver stylish looks, silver sliding keyboard and the video quality everything was AWESUM. The handset is too handy.It really looks SEXY, love it. He also told that it will be released out in a couple of weeks.I am eagerly waiting to buy it now...

Sorry X1, can't wait anymore and bought Samsung Omnia.
But it turned out a disappintment as follow:
- same ear piece and loud speaker so the sound quality is terrible.
- frozen and didn't wake up most of the time.
- terrible sunlight readibility. can't use GPS in bright daylight even in the car. what's the point of GPS then?
- touch screen is not very sensitive as HTC devices and at some points, touch is not possible expecially, near ok button. I tested touch testing, only one point near ok button. That's why so hard to press it.
- full of Samsung stuffs in rom and can't remove them and hard to update software like flash lite, google map, opera.
- terrible dialer interface
- bluetooth stereo is not as good as HTC devices..
- Stylus can't be carried all the time and difficult to deal with small things sometimes.
- hard to take pictures in bright sunlight. it's all funny color.
Oh, My god, I have made the wrong choice... Should have waited for X1.

rather then waiting loosing my time i have decide to buy today htc pro.any way htc is a good make and good brand also the headset have every thing i neen in my dealy life.

I don`t care about X1 anymore!
SE is just making fun of us(look how we have been waiting for it)(just check the comments)
HTC Touch HD is coming out by the end of the year(i don`t like it)but just look how they work!they are trying to gain reputation in the market and they are doing well(but SE is lossing it)
hope it will be released by the end of the year

Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 delayed (again)
really its bored
and there are some problem in hardware for x1 and there slow in opreation

Just heard from Clove Technology that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 is subject to further delays.
The X1 was due to start shipping to customers this week but it would seem that there are further supply issues with the device. No word on the extent of the delay at the moment but I suspect maybe another week rather than any lengthy delay.
I know this will come as a disappointment and frustration to many of you but I know that SE are keen to get things right rather than release a product that needs patching or updating a week after you purchase it.
I'll try to get official word from SE in the morning.

Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Call Centre.
At this stage the sony Ericsson X1 is due for release in 4th quarter of this year 2008 the specific date of release is dependant on Network Acceptance we are unable to provide a specific release date.
In regards to Video operation with the X1 we can confirm that it runs with 30fps. Also there is no difference interms of function with European and Australian products.

I... moreFirms putting on their own firmware does seem to have caused a lot of trouble in past..When you switch on the fone its ok for the companys logo to come up i.e. o2 ,,orange,,but to totally revamp most of it to suite their content just sems to cause problems..I know one thing am not paying £45 a month for it so it looks as tho i have to stay with voda but o2 is getting more popular round my area,,perhaps its because 3.5g is just about covering whole town ???

Popped into Vodafone shop earlier. Their official date of recieving the phone in the U.K. at their warehouses is 19th Oct. It shall then take a couple of days to get to their stores. Carphonewarehouse told me that they only know that they shall have it available in the last week of October. Was also learnt that the handset shall be quicker than the sample model and that its gps can be activitated by SE if the phone gets stolen so it can be tracked and traced to within 10 metres.

its was there on order on the se online store and they have removed it now both c905 and x1 were there to order .... i dont know wots goin wrong with SE

I am hoping Orange don't decide to deface it. I just sent back a Diamond because of the terrible battery life. That was a standard ROM! Perhaps the 'fancy' GUIs companies are making, make it not worth while faffing with them!!
