If a phone company annouce their phone early it doesnt mean it’s late altought htc announced their diamond, touch pro, viva and 3G after xperia but those phones don’t have higher features than x1 specificationally even HD, Yes HD has 5MP pixels camera but what else ? VGA video? 384MB RAM? QWERTY keyboard? Better battery capacity than x1? photo flash? Don’t forget about multimedia side that SE has more competence about it than HTC like walkman music, Camera quality, cybershoot ect, Yes HD has wvga resolution but x1 has higher resolution dencity than HD, The screen size influence resolution quality, bigger size decrease resolution dencity. Pls tell me why do you always say that x1 is late ? use different OS doesn’t mean it’s late but depend on what you need..find a OS which can fullfil what you need..

WM is actuall... moreOS operation speed is depend on processor speed and amount of RAM, the latest x1 prototype which has 128MB RAM with the latest ROM software is more faster than demo in february but now x1 has 384MB RAM so x1 will be much faster than prototype device..wait, see and buy it hehe...

so.. if i buy this and use it with ATT in the US. The 3G would work fine? .. The only problem is that the CV (tv broadcast) doesn't work on this phone?
the Nokia N96 would right? or what? it sucks tho. i hate Nokia.. what phone would support it? Touch HD?

Also had a look at nokia 5800 videos and not confident that much yet in pure full touchscreen devices nor do i seem to want an all touch device..Still a month of getting this as contract not due up till december but that gives chance for reviews...Absolutly dying for reviews to come pouring in but arent we all?????

U got more than enuf knowledge abt each UI .. i... moreThanx RaXa for your input it is what i want but got caught up a bit in the unfamiliarity stakes..Have been using a treo 500v on voda to get the jist of things and whats putting me off was lack of multimedia but i dont have to bother do i its their in s/e..I have n82 so no good getting innov8 this is the beast really...
Renevant,, i also read somewhere were s/e have stripped back the windows mobile and made it their own and they seem to have done a good job but cannot comment as nobody has it yet....

I used to want this phone so much!But now i don`t know what to do!there are many good phones in the market by the end of the year and for me(all of us)who had been waiting for so long i`m sure we can wait a bit more(it was a test of patience)!!We are all so patient
Only the PRICE matters to me now!what about400$?
!Still the best for me!
i have nothing to say to SE!don`t know what they are trying to do!

maybe the light sensor is for keyboard, when u use keyboard in daytime, no keyboard light is on.
or maybe the light sensor is for the fishes, when u use your phone at night. the fishes wont be moving, cus they sleeping! haha

I have now accepted the fact that this phone will probably be released in 2015 or something... there are more advanced phones in the market now... and there are lots of phones that were announced later but released earlier than the X1... seems like SE is sleeping for good...

Saying that, however, I heard that the version of WinMo on this phone is pretty much just the bare bones of the OS. It's apparently a stripped down version, which makes it perform better. I might be wrong about this though, I just read it somewhere...

Please Help. I was waiting for this phone for a long time, but since there were few delays I decided to buy the HTC touch Pro. I was not that impressed with WM, slow, sluggish, and sometime freezes. Now since the Xperia should be out any day now (Any Xperia USERS) do you recommend buying it with WM (no issues so far) or wait for the next X1 version without WM?

U got more than enuf knowledge abt each UI .. i only advice u to get Xperia.. explore it urself by every mean .. they say its pros platform .. use it and decide urself .. here mostly guys have no idea abt WM including me .. it'll be my first WM too .. i'll see myself what it can do .. Adios

Sony Ericsson informed me that the phone was released on Sept 30th, to certain carriers, i.e O2 etc.
It will be released to the public, within the next 2 weeks.

ITs coming to that time of year again for me,,daker nights,,bonfire night,xmas,,new year etc and altho i buy many smarfones i use them because in my life i have never had a mp3 player,,digital camera/camcorder its all come from the mobile my whole digital collection....Anyways as i was browsing thru my foto collection geting rid of doubles etc i will say this,,,,,,,some of the best fotos in all conditions even snow have come from my k750i and w900i..The w900i has slighlty better sharpness but of the whole cornacopia of about 80,,90 maybe 100 mobiles i have had over 10 years these stand out along with sharp gx10 and n3650 as stand out fones i got exited about and siemens s45 as ultimate monochrom screen mobile....EAch had their own individual merits..
The moral of the above is megapixels mean nothing and today very few mobiles/smartfones give me that buzz associated with above said mobiles/smartfones only the n95 comes close but the xperia has given me a slight buzz,,why,, because not only is it full featured but has the gauranteed quality of s/e battery life,,walkman,,cybershot plus added bonus of 30fps vga video ..
The only problem for this years smartfone to get is i am smitten with innov8 with being with symbian for years and its screen video etc and slimness plus nokia has released it 5800 express...The big thing of xperia is the thrill of windows and learning and experimenting with something different instead of same old symbian...
What would you windows followers say to me to impress me that windows,,( once i learn and get to grips with it) ,,would blow symbian out of water for example is quick cause symbian can be painfully slow,,could it replicate a laptop more???? Thanx Brynn
