i dont think it will be mor thn 400 uk pounds...reason being iphone is launchin the pay as you go version on 15th september...at £350.00 for 8gig £400.00 for 16gig plus unltd wifi and web for 10.oo for the full year! x1 will be competing against that...so dont think it will bee that pricey...just my opinion...after all i am mr sensible ;)

about xperia x5 . i dont think those sites mentioning xperia x5's snaps and specs are with good repo. concept fones are so much in cyber world, but i haven't seen one in real yet. trying to become famous by posting these kina things called ' concept ',.

Hi there,
according to SE specs, there is handwriting recognition in the X1, but does anyone knows if the handwriting recognition in X1 means:
(1) we can write on the screen using stylus and finger (and not just stylus)?
(2) the phone can recognise not only English alphebats + numbers, but also Chinese characters (and better still, a lot of other languages, e.g. Jap, etc, etc)

brynn, 11 Sep 2008i buying one to annoy you and one for myself,,nokia is ok i... moredont forget too that on xperia we can add many applications from 3rd party also can add many panels from many developers!! we can enjoy picture, video, browsing ect on wvga resolution screen

Many people don't quite fathom what does it mean that Sony Ericsson is releasing a Windows Mobile phone! Sony Ericsson today announces 30 September 2008 as the official launch date for the highly anticipated Xperia X1 – initially available to consumers in the UK, Germany and Sweden. The handset will be available in other markets across Europe, Asia and Latin America throughout Q4 2008.
The official global launch of the Xperi X1 will take place at Tent London as part of London Design Week between September 18 – 21st. Journalists are invited to attend the official Tent London opening party on Friday evening 19 September 2008 to see the Xperia X1 and meet with Sony Ericsson spokespeople.
