This is a gr8 phoen..but a little advice to SE corporation don't make customers wait like this...this phone will start looking older before we even get used to it...look at the INNOV8 or the HTC beautiful on the outside and packed with almost the same or better features....why shud i wait for the XPERIA then?

Anonymous, 08 Aug 2008On a 6 x 4 photo you can only cram in so many pixels so yea... moreexactly,,plus think of the strain on the sensor with not much light and all that processing afterwards and memory it will start to take up and battery power hit...I have put this before that my best prints have come from 2mp canfones i.e. w900i,,k750i.....The xperia has 3.2 mp wich is as near as damn it good enuf for the usual 6x4 print and most people never print them out do they,,its sat on the fone or on a computr screen...ITs just about the hype and having the best fone which i can understand but not at the expense of the fone struggling and ending up a poor rated unit nobody likes

NOKIA are realising a SYMBIAN cell with an EIGHT megapixel cam.As you would expect it's going to CRUSH SE and Samsungs 8mp cams. Some inside reviewers are RAVING about it's capabilities. If you want a BRILLIANT camera PLUS a cell that easily beats xperia then please wait 2months.

On a 6 x 4 photo you can only cram in so many pixels so yeah anything over 5million is just a waste.5 or 8Megapixel fools people into thinking a camera will be spectacular....silly really....

k, 08 Aug 2008when is this phone going to come out. but camera should be... moreWhy are you people obsessed with megapixels?Do you really understand what megapixels is?For 6x4 snaps 3.2mp is enough-on a regular size photo it's IMPOSSIBLE to tell the difference. The quality of the lens and sensor is what makes a camera produce good or bad pictures.Megapixels is marketing hype.

when is this phone going to come out.
but camera should be upgrade to 5.mp or more.

at less a 5.o with xon flash like n82.

herewith my prediction on SE EXPERIA phones:

the X1 will be released before end 2008. as with all "new" products, there will be some small bugs with the hardware/software.

early in 2009 SE might release (say) 'X1.1' with a few modifications to fixs the bugs. maybe a different look as well.

in 2009 SE might also release a less powerful version of X1, lets call it 'X0.5'

In 2009 SE will announce the 'X2' with WM7. the X2 wont be released before end of 2009.

Well, like i said, its only my prediction and not based on facts. any other predictions?

Well i would go for HTC Touch Pro ... well both the phone has same processor .. and both will have Windows 6.1 .. Xperia looks a bit bulky , but yes i agree for people who need a bit larger screen Xperia will be ideal.. Also one stong reason for going with Touch Pro is the xda forums where u get loads off stuff to tune your phone and customize it ..its like having a new phone each time u add a new ROM ... :D
