This was built by HTC, and it has better hardware than the HTC Touch Cruise. All Chips on both phones are produced by Qualcomm. I suggest you visit this website before you start comparing phones in the way you did, and make a complete idiot of yourself.

The only advantage Eten phones have over this piece of art is the SirfStar III GPS chipset, which is more sensitive than Qualcomm’s chipsets in general. But X1 is using a better chipset than the one in the Touch Cruise. Once they release the entire datasheet of the X1, you will be able to compare it yourself. In my opinion, the only phone that can be compared to X1, from hardware perspective, is the HP iPAQ 610/612/614c Business Navigator. But the Navigator is bigger in size, comes with nothing similar to the GUI of X1, and has a less attractive design as well as a screen that has a lower resolution.
The iPhone is a “beautiful” phone. Some of us just don’t need that; we prefer productivity to looks. The only feature that the iPhone offers is the Safari browser, which is way better than the current IE mobile. Its GUI is user-friendly and all, but you just can’t buy a phone so obsolete just because it looks good! As for Nokia’s WiMax internet tablet, it’s a completely different product, relying on a completely different technology that is only available on a very narrow scale worldwide. What would it be useful for, at least nowadays, to carry a phone that works only in limited areas? Again phones are phones! Their primary purpose is making outgoing calls. If you need a computer, laptops are getting smaller, and you also have the UMPC’s.
One last thing: Symbian is something; Windows Mobile is something else, Period!

Why such a low spec device from SE? I thought they are more into the hi-end market. Disappointing to say the least. Isn't this the company which was supposed to chalange Nokia for the TOP position? Now it looks like they are chalenging Alcatel for the botom end :) How on earth will this brick compete with HTC, Eten, Qtek, not to mention iPhone and Nokia's mighty internet tablet (WIMAX !)

Hi SE lover's,
if you want to play a movie in your phone,
then you can't put your phone on the desk.
because in xperia, their is no option for
a 'comfortable' handsfree operation.
in my E90, iam able to put my phone on desk.
and watching every moment of whole movie with
eating 'popcorn'with my both hand's.

if the 65k color save your battery power,
then i think 43 cstn color save more power.
and you should try in your xperia so call a new 'invention'in mobile world....HAHAHA

theres 2 cameras:
-one 3.2 megapixel camera on the back

the 65k color screen saves u battery life especially when its a WVGA (800 x 480) screen
and for those of you who keep complaining about the screen color, try naming all 65,535 colors then complain about the screen

Movies will just roch on this one, what a question is will you be able to watch movies? You can watch movies on WWindows Mobile since 5 years ago, they all use 16 bit (64k) colours, nooone noticed, till Xperia came out...
And abaut the price it will cost the same as E90, but it will just be better.

In today market, products are being announced with so many promises. The day it released the product nothing work as promise. Until we actually see the product in it mature and fully functional state. I would not make any assumption on how well the SE X1 functions over any other phone. Companies in today market is more focus on $ by showing new product to grab as much sales as possible when in reality it is still in it design stage and most functions doesn’t work out as promise due to fact that they have to RUSH THIS PRODUCT OUT the design stage and into manufacture as promise. As you can see on various video clips captured at the Show. They just flip the Main menu screen back and forth nothing works. All the feature and function is spoken by mouth not work on the phon. By the time this phone releases I assure you there will be Firmware and software full of bugs and updates support has a very minimum life span. Once they go to manufacture with this phone their design team will slow their support on firmware and software updates.

Nobody knows anything about this phone YET! Stop saying this phone will kill the iPhone or Nokia, because it WONT! This phone as only 65K screen colors, no xenon flash and no TV OUT.

Eck, no Windows Mobile is balls. Yes Symbians is more balls in many regards.
I still can't believe SE would make the monumental strategic failure to switch to WindowsM. People liked the sleek functional customised SE UIQ/Symbian firmwares. And in the WinM segment there are already devices that do everything this phone is purported too (look for PDA/Dopod HTC devices rather than phones). I'll wait for my Android and OpenMoko devices. It will be a cold day in hell before I invest a dime in windows in embedded platforms. I guess the p1 is the last SE phone I will own.
