To the statement that windows mobile 6.0 would be stable on a good CPU, or if it had sufficient RAM, that is completely false. The HTC TYTN II has 128MB of RAM and I still have perpetual glitches, slow downs, hiccups, and freezes with it. My colleague, who also has the phone, experiences the same problems daily. There are some things windows mobile does well, like it's wide support for various types of software, but it's not right for this phone. It just isn't. Symbian isn't the greatest solution either, however, it's a better OS that windows mobile is in terms of stability, especially when it's backed by a decent amount of RAM or a good CPU. My good friend, just yesterday, swore off of windows mobile for good after using his father's N81 for just a day, he loved the Symbian OS's reliability. He was using the phone because his brand new Samsung smartphone glitched and broke...a windows mobile problem. Even the admins on GSMARENA here admit that windows mobile is a deal breaker and it is. It's a shame the phone is so beautiful, but has such an ugly and non-user friendly OS. Here in the states, all of our smartphones (with carriers) use windows mobile, except for the iphone, which is sadly a gimmick. If there was only a way to put the iphone OS on the X1, then I would definitely buy it....

lol ^-^
this phone is a late-and-low techie compared to nokia and samsung.
with htc's help? with other manufacturer helping SE can only come up with this phone? U gotta be kidding bro. this must be a GREAT shame.
And this design came up a lot earlier with samsung f700 which has Qwerty slide and Touchscreen+a lot better looking design compared to Chinese-designed(HTC) X1. LOL
Grow up, bro!! look further to understand the reality.
p.s. Samsung I900 will rockkk!! if you see the specs. LOL

The same principles apply to operating systems whether it be pc or mobile.Windows Vista is stable providing you have the hardware to run it,same with Win Mob.The OS is resource intensive but with 128MB RAM it runs flawlessly.Symbian is just a dogs dinner!

This is an excellent phone. The touchscreen, the QWERTY keyboard, the stainless-steel design, the 3.5MM headphone jack (first SE phone to have one!)and a 520Mhz processor, 400 MB built-in memory and up to 8GB expandable with SD cards-this phone is really amazing!

I've been reading the XPERIA X1 will use the Qualcomm chipset.HTC left out driver support on the TyTN II but X1 will be fully supported :)check the white paper on the Qualcomm chip-It's one serious piece of kit.

Why does it say here that it has microSD support???
On the Sony Ericsson website it says that it has Sandisk Memory Stick Micro, which is the M2 card.

QVGA screens are useless.A VGA screen shows 4x as much detail and really any phone that wants to be considered high spec must have this

N96 is a total let down it has the same crappy Symbian os,USELESS screen-it's a QVGA display haven't nokia heard of decent displays on the NONSENSE Series!!lol, bland look, low build quality in contrast with the superb XPERIA.WM6 professional really says it all-we will be using ADVANCED applications that actually function to a professional degree unlike those stupid silly half assed s60 apps.Nokia and Symbian s60 know their target market don't have the faintest idea of what a REAL OS is capable of doing.
