GPS problems? Phone freezes when you activate your GPS? People it actualy works. I had the same problem and found the awnser on a simaler site. The problem is QuickGPS for some reason. Erase QuickGPS data. It is in Temp\xtra.bin and Windows\xtra.bin After this the GPS works fine... and I reinstalled and master reset, even thought the X1 finely had it with my rougth lifestyle. But NOOOOooo, it was not my Die-Hard X1. Just some software that gave her a swore tummy.

I also have the problem of the ink on the keys coming off. But this X1 has fallen into a bath, fallen 2 stories onto concreat, and laid for 8 days in the bush (and it rained for 5 of those days!) when I lost it while ring a quad and it still works fine. Yes, it has scars... But swop it for a Nokia, Moto, Siemens... NEVER. I don't think they will make it past week 2 with my lifestyle. GO X1!

to everybody asking about how to upgrade to winmo 6.5...can i make it any clearer i posted the instructions a few posts down the page...if you can't read the simple instructions and are too lazy to make the little extra effort to read the instructions you really shouldn't be operating this phone.

Surprised at all the positive comments on the X1 here. I have had mine for two months and it freezes for no reason (8 reinstallation's and counting), everything is slow and arduous (even sending sms or making phone-calls is slow due to a not so responsive touchscreen and strange placements of functions in menus), when I have tried the different official (not cooked) user interfaces that are available the freezing problem gets worse and the phones general functions degenerate (slows down and microfreezes), plus no clear information if updates to winMo 6.5 will be available (which might have helped to overcome some of the user interface problems), other programs that I need like an easy to use RSS and mediaplayer for subscribing to and listen to podcasts also makes the phone crash although they are bought from HandandGo that came with the phone (I know that is possible to do without any new programs but then there is the not so userfriendly interface again). In sum the X1 feels like a phone that was outdated shortly after it came out and that SonyEricsson has moved on to next generation of products and abandoned the X1 and its users. The X1 has cost me way more productivity (hours trying to make it work as I need it to) than it has given me. // J

Hi for those wanting to replace the slow xperia user interface with something faster (e.g. TouchFLO) go to the X1 section of the xda-developers website and they have all easy-to-follow instructions there:
