this is the best phone i have ever owned since my iphone...right now im selling my black x1, and guess what? im gonna buy the silver one hahaha, yes bcos im hooked on the xperia, dont mind the people who are talking bad about it, the xperia is one great gadget to own....it will only overheat when u keep it plugged in the laptop with the screen on for over an hour...those x1 owners who experience lags, update your damn phone with seus to the latest rom which is R3A and see the difference, i do not and i mean i do not experience any freezing, and becareful in the apps you install, obviously 3rd party software can cause problems to your device performance, its called common sense....my x1 will be sold in 2 days, i will purchase the silver one on monday :D

well i have purchased this phone and at the start it was EXTREMLY hard to get used to as i had never encountered use with a windows mobile before.
it has it positaves as well as negatives. positaves include a qwerty keyboard. the panels are quite fun aswell. and the mobile phone has wifi.
nevertheless. the negatives are the phone works VERY slow at some occasions. such as, i downloaded a new panel for it and sometimes when i press a button it wont even respond... very slow.
over all i give it a rating out of 10 of 5/10

I am using Xperia for a month now & have used several Windows Mobiles before. Battery backup is awesome bec of Li Polymer Battery unlike other Windows Mobile like HTC & Imate (If you got the original & not a fake chinese battery) My battery lasts 3days even after intense use!!! Sony Wakman quality sound, Sony Earphones, Optical Joystick, Xperia Panels, 32gb microSD are a plus.
P.S. Windows is much much superior to Nokias Symbian OS any time so plz dont compare to Nokia!!!

Would like to enphase one thing: chinese replicas are not the same as SE Xperia, if u have 1 please don't comment since u have no idea what a truly xperia phones is. Get a original SE Xperia and then comment, thk you.
By the way, battery overheating is a standart issue on chinese phones. I had SE for years and never experience that, including X1. People who actually buy those things (chinese crap) are well deserved.

I just recently ordered my x1 and i am expecting it this week. I would like to know what kind of firmware and/or panels are needed or recommended for optimum performance and better fluidity with the phone and where can i find them. All suggestions are welcome thanks

Hello all-
I am on the look for a new phone. Currently I am using my SE W810i. It is a very nice phone, but I've had it for more than 3 years and I think it is time to upgrade. I bought a stupid touch screen LG KU990 cell phone and I hated it. The touch screen was slow and I hated how hard it was to write a text message without pressing the wrong letter every time, b/c of the stupid touch screen. Lets just say I like to push buttons. :) So I can't decide and I need your opinions. I don't want to waste any more money on phone. I want the phone to be SE, to have WIFI and to have buttons. I don't mind it to be both buttons and touch screen, but I need the damn buttons. I have looked and looked and I can't decide which one is better. It is between SE W995 and XPERIA X1. What do u guys think ? Or should I wait for the SE Aino to come out in September. Which one has a better performance and which one is worth the $ ? Thanks :)

Do not get this expensive thing. Remove GPS and compare with any Nokia E series phone e.g. E51, E63, E65 which are newer than this and are even better than this thing.

this is the greatest phone that i ever had.... it can use the touch flo 3d application without any problem... the panel is much easy to use.. n97 is use less if wan to compare wit dis fon... the best of the best... u can see i youtube how it is work in tf3d...

I have the xperia x1 and I love it. I can have 10+ apps open and it dosen't really lag at all. For those with the lag should update your xperia it helped a lot for me. I would consider the htc touch pro2 though that might be my next phone the keyboard looks amazing.

It's really nice mobile, I don't know why people complain about it, nobody is perfect, even cellularphones aren't perfect, everymobile has it's negativity, I have it, great on internet, great camera, it's fast, and it's Windows. I think that's enough for me.
