Some vendors even begin to rethink their strategy and allegedly Android be interested to switch back to the OS made by Microsoft.

According to Philip Elmer-DeWitt of Fortune blog, a patent infringement lawsuit by Apple against the vendor HTC has made it a little bit scared, so encourage them to rethink their focus to Android. As a result of Apple's lawsuit against HTC, a mobile phone vendors expected to reconsider the latest Microsoft OS, Windows Phone 7, as a safe replacement for the Google Android platform, as Microsoft has been estimated to have their own multitouch technology before it was patented by the iPhone.



Apple itself is known to have held the thick book of 358 pages contains a patent for the iPhone that includes every single bit of the iPhone user interface, including the implementation of the multitouch and gesture technology.

Although cases of patent infringement by Apple that HTC has not reached the courts and maybe it will take many years before the outcome was finally achieved, but the steps that Apple has produced the desired results.

Jean, 22 Mar 2010We usually try to avoid speaking about design because there... morePersonaly like the design of the Wave. At first I was a little bit "hm hm" but now it looks cool. But really I propose we should focus on X10 and Android talk, I think we had enough talk on Wave. We can mention it sometimes in comparison etc. but this is Xperia X10 talk, not samsung wave talk as people mentioned before so if we don't wan't to ge crucificed we better shut up ;-)

I personally feel the same way as you, I have the omnia HD and can say to you that it's design is awful, as most of Samsung's phones.

Lung, 22 Mar 2010bada may have fewer applications than the android, but what... moreYou know, Samsung's problem isn't Bada OS, it's their designs. Like seriously!! What is up with their hideous designs! Looks really ugly! And that's just my opinion though but I'm pretty sure a LOT of people agrees with this.

Snapdragon processor versus samsung

Simply Hummingbird is dedicated GPU while Snapdragon does not exist, so for the same speed, but for multimedia, UI and gaming, can Hummingbird 4x better. The principle is similar to a PC using onboard VGA compared to the use VGA GeForce or ATI Radeon own. Snapdragon wearing course will take some RAM memory for sharing when there is intensive use of graphics. But even so, still not be able to match the performance of the GPU itself. Snapdragon with the GPU is still in the stage of manufacture, probably towards the end of the year is available in the market.

samsung 4x better than Snapdragon at least until the end of this year

Lung, 22 Mar 2010sorry for the amount due to slow connections to three times... moreThat is because very large number of apple users are a little bit washed out and don't have any clues on how technology works and how computers work so Apple can sell them everything they serve them. The similarity is in linux/windows comarision. Why are so many apps for windows but linux is clearly better? Because wast majority of windows users do not understand and do not need to understand how coputers work and what can you do with it. So at the end you have pure capitalism and everybody turns where the golden chicken is, nothin else...The most selling phone is iphone so there you go, developers are orienting on that because its the widest market. If the number of android devices would be greater and brought more profit, surely the expansion of apps would be rapid. It's all about the money...

I think not. For now I think its better to go with Andorid, its established and there are many apps. As for Bada lets wait and see expansion of it...and also the important final product reviews :)

I mean that Apple only sells 1 type of device that is iphone 3g
but it has so many applications

while the android sell so many types of devices. htc, samsung, huawei, se, etc
but the number of applications they can not be as much as the iphone applications

Jean, 22 Mar 2010One of the main features of X10 that people barely speaks o... moreAgree, timescape/mediascape is great and SE devoted a lot of time to develop it.And that is why the X10 has 1.6 andorid because they had to froze it and start developing timescape/mediascape. While they were developing it, andorid was upgraded. So they(SE) are porting now to android 2.1 and porting timescape and mediascape to 2.1. But when they release it, Android 3.0 will be here. And I think they will stop there and do not port again to 3.0. That's my opinion. Also I think that the great solution and a very nice move would be allowing users to have a TimeMediaUI with andorid 1.6/2.1 and also allowing to have a more recent version of Andorid(3.0 in few months) without TimeMediaUI. In that way user can choose to have TimeMediaUI experience or have a recent version of Andorid because I really doubt they will port TimeMediaUI as the new Android versions come out. It simply because its easier and much quicker to adapt new version of Andorid to i.g. X10 than adapting new version of android and porting TimeMediaUI to it.

different OS and different apps...
many gadgets with android still cant have apps as many as iphone apps, and apple just with iphone 3G? what's wrong with android?

The main advantage for Android that has the largest number of free apps than any other moblie apps market. As for Bada, if the number of free apps is gonna be low or very little then I think they will lose wide number of users. There will be some but not as many as Android ones...
