Just read what the experts think about the X10!!! :
I think that the Xperia X10 is a masterstroke of handset design. Ultimately, however, this is exactly what I think and I see no justifiable reason as to why I should pretend otherwise.
Had the X10 have left me feeling cold, I would have told you. But it didn’t. What it did do is serve to reaffirm that, as mentioned above, Sony Ericsson have woken up, smelt the coffee and have obviously decided its time to reaffirm themselves in the handset market. And the X10 will indeed do just that, and it’ll do it with aplomb.
The Xperia X10 is a revelation. It not only looks great, but it runs like a dream and the thought SE have put into this handset – its design, its features, its usability – positively shines through. The X10 is sheer brilliance, pure and simple.
Or, if you really want me to put myself on the line here, I’ll put it another way. Alex (our Sub) asked me, on my return from the SE press event, whether I’d actually consider replacing my beloved iPhone 3GS with an X10 and I could only offer him a single word answer.

I still didn't own the phone so I may not be very accurate in giving you the cons. However, from my understanding and reading I think the cons are as following :
1- No front camera
2- There is still a chance that it may be launched with Andriod donut 1.6
Seriously, I can not think about any other cons worth mentioning because this phone is almost perfect! The pros are far beyond the cons.
Pros:
1- Great camera and video recording
2- Very good looking style and design
3- Huge 4 inch capacitive screen.
4- 1 GHz CPU + 384 Ram
5- The unique UI from SE
6- Amazing battery life
7- Flash and graphic supports
8- Very fast and responsive touch screen
And much more! This device is a monster and it's a must for every SE fan because it will be the best piece of art that SE produced ever, and one of the best cellphones in the mobile industry today.
So for all SE fans, if you want the best from your trusted brand it's time for the ultimate X10 ;)
If any one needs some money to afford it just tell me, kidding hehe :P

every phone has its own purpose (target market).
vivaz made for teenager aged 16-20 (I suppose) with its dynamic design and great video taking.
x10 targeted the elder age range (21-25) or young executive.
You can't just make a phone with all the highest end features, imagine how much it will cost you.
It'just my opinion :D

Let's be fair, It's a very nice phone. It's only problem is obviously having TFT instead of AMOLED screen.
apart from that, everything is great. Timescape/mediascape seems wonderful(much better than the HTC sense UI). I'm really eager to buy it.
