Hi m a xperia x10 user..my software is 1.6 ..wen I tried to update it via usb frm my pc at th preparation stage m gettng a message tht th software installation failed.. y is tht?? Can sm1 help me out..

I already got new 2.3.3 update and it's amazing, this phone definetly got life with this.

Extreme update.x10 works as a breeze,better camera quality,nice music player,better battery life.

As with previous updates, different kits will be released on different timescales depending on when these kits are approved. Wait a few more days and try checking it again using PC companion, SEUS or from your phone.

Anonymous, 07 Aug 2011Are they delayed of sending the update to the us?,Try checking for software update from your X10 via wifi, if it says that a new software update is available then just download and install SEUS to update your X10 to 2.3.3.

im in the US and it says i have the latest software. but its still 2.1 and not 2.3.... help

Turn off windows auto update, firewall and antivirus before you start updating your X10 using SEUS to make sure nothing slows down, interrupts or corrupts the updating process.

Anonymous, 06 Aug 2011you cant update rooted devices.Yes, we can! Rooting and optimization might have messed with PC Companion, however I was able to successfully update my rooted/optimized X10 to 2.3.3 using SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) or update service in short. For those having trouble updating to 2.3.3 using PC Companion, try using SEUS, it worked for me.

After installing the 2.3 update phone lags a bit and seems to be slow just give it some time or reboot the device that should fix it.

Anyone here having problems installing the update using PC Companion? try this software to install 2.3 update on X10i
