what do you mean because it's not by HTC it does not have multi touch? HTC do not have any multi touch devices and most of there handsets are poorly built. there always slow, unstable and there touch screen do not work correctly like HTC Touch HD. I do not believe X1 was made by HTC and it's only a rumor that the X1 was made by HTC.

Anonymous, 29 Nov 2009hi there, the phone has multi-touch and 16M colour capabili... morewhile in theory thats nice, the current version does not allow multitouch or support above 65k. the global marketing manager of SE x10 said it only supports 65k and single touch. also while it was mentioned that the x10 supports above 65k colors, no date was given when it wud and it cud also be 262k or 256k colors (which is what SE usually uses)not 16mil. also if SE wna keep the UI, then its gna take even longer to get the upgrade to android 2 bcos they will develop the UI for android 2 as well. they also say multitouch is considered for the future, but give no date. knowing how long it takes SE to sort out software (and still fail eg: satio, aino) ur gna be w8in a while to get those features it shud hv come with.

An OS on a phone is ... moremilestone and x10 use the same OS. true x10 has a ui but that ui is pointless. it just makes the x10 look slower than it rly is and it still doesnt hv multi touch. y didnt SE add it? dont say that u need android 2 to hv multitouch cos htc hero running android 1.5 had multitouch. SE needs a more powerful cpu cos of the ui they decided to add. also its not the 1st android phone to use snapdragon.
y 65k colors? if SE hv been developing this phone b4 the release of android 2, then they shud hv released it much sooner. but wait, when ppl rush SE to release things on time (which is actually late for most) SE just end up screwing the software as seen by aino, satio. also it has worse screen display quality than x1 since x1 had same amount of colors but more dpi/ppi, and gsm arena acknowledges that on a screen this size, the 65k color limitation is noticeable (see htc hd2 review). and if u wna compare it to moto milestone, moto has more dpi/ppi than x10 and more colors, so it has the better display.
if a camera is important 4 u on a phone buy the satio, oh w8, nvm buy the pixon 12.
if data speeds r important moto milestone is better: same hsdpa but almost 3x faster hsupa.
and according to some sources (wikipedia included, but u can check google as well): moto droid sold about 250 000 in US in 1st week not 100 000 as some ppl r saying. i wud like to c SE exceed that with their overpriced and late to release x10.
i will say that x10 has its advantages too but u shud stop saying that SE makes the best devices cos what they r rly doing is anouncing a phone with gr8 specs ages b4 they can release it and then u r comparing it to companies who hv already released phones. im not an SE h8er but i h8 SE fanboys (or any fanboy for that matter). the last SE device i had was a p910i and no complaints on that. it was 1 of the best around at the time. but since then SE hv slowed down the release of their phones and compared to the competition, they no longer hv an advantage.
