Just aski... morenumber of colours shows how many combination can make the three subpixels of a pixel: red,green,blue. from blinding white when all the pixels are lighted up at maximum from deep black when all pixels are closed,the rgb combinations can be:65k,256k,16 million. but,this specification have nothing to do with the power of screen backlight leds,wich are giving you the real quality of a lcd screen. this two specifications:number of colours and contrast power are giving together the real qulity of the picture

                Is the number of screen colors really a big deal? Just asking because my friend has an SE c510 with 256k color screen and my other friend has a Nokia 5610 with 16m color screen and the c510's screen is far far far better than the nokia 5610. I've seen the the HTC Touch Viva too with 65k colors but it has really good colors compared to an n73 with 256k colors. So what's up with this?

But gotta say they are doing something which they don't need to do. I mean look at this X10, why 65K screen? It may be the first 1GHz Android phone but Samsung Galaxy has 16M, which is also Android. And there is no XviD/DivX codec support too, which is annoying for a 4'' device. However it's a first Android 4m Sony, so it's a good step, but still it can be made far better.
                              Anyway Sony Ericsson ROCKS.

                                it has a 65k color display because the human eye does not distinguish more than that, so 65k is enough

                                    maybe it can answer your question and dont forget winmo is very flexible and has many application, there is no permanently UI for window mobile phone.

                                    now i use HTC HD2 ROM on xperia x1, spb mobile shell and iphone UI as a panel of x1.

                                      Dear SE, honestly, we all love you so much. But you exactly not doing what we want, and not heard what we screaming day by day. Look at every SE forum. There's a lot of people comments about you. It means they care for you. Please give us 1 super perfect phone that can accomodates everyone needs. 2 GB processor is good enough, AMOLED screen would be better. 64 GB internal memory we wish, 3x optical zoom we'll love it, multi touch input just like heaven, digital compass and FM transmitter make it perfect, XviD/DivX HD video no one can't resist, QWERTY Keyboard make it more usefull, Dual type memory card is what we need, 1 month battery life would be comfortable, camera lens cover make it more cool, metal body like X1 make it impressive, finger-print scan make it more safer, water proof would be nice, built-in projector make it awsome, Xenon Flash make it more exciting, stereo speaker make it damn good, microUSB make it more flexible, affordable price tag make it sold out, and release quickly is what we all waiting for. If you doing this, you'll be unbeatable.
