you dont need android, you dont need an 8mp camera, you dont need a 4" touch screen. your argument is terrible.
there is no reason to buy the x10; it's a shocking attempt at an android phone.

[deleted post]boohoo... it's a good phone. you don't need all those features to enjoy a good phone. you may WANT those features because you're an insatiable brat but if you just NEED a really good phone with all the features that you need, then you can't go wrong with Xperia X10.
btw, the android market has LOTS of apps for almost anything else that you may need and want that is not preinstalled with the phone.
i've been an owner of SE Xperia X10 for just a couple of weeks now and i'm super satisfied. i actually OWN the phone and i'm satisfied with it. i don't bitch about the lack of multitouch or 16m colors and other stuff because i don't need those. maybe the phone could be better with those in the mix but as of now, it's already really good as it is.
take it from me, guys. i'm a nobody but i sincerely and honestly say that this is a great phone.

It's a great phone. Does what it says.
Unlike Nokia's, X10's hardware is just great (namely, processor and RAM). All the bugs are Google Android's fault not SE's.
I Upgraded lately to Android 2.1 and I couldn't be happier.
Those who are not tech-savvy or fixated on one type of phones always criticize.

hi AL, the UXP and MT was confirmed much before, so... moreI remember all the rumors about the update to 2.1 and it was announced we would have it much before the date it really was. As long as it is not written on SE blog about products, I don't trust.
It is easy to make people believe SE will do it soon when you know xda developpers made the X10 work with Froyo. I hope (and think) we receive Froyo in 2011 but I will not tell people there will be for sure an update to Froyo before it is announced by SE and not by SE-choose-your-counrty.

hi AL, the UXP and MT was confirmed much before, so is froyo! actually if u load a froyou can see it works flawlessely. search on youtube. the SESC and SEUK have also breaked their rumors about, froyo ius working and coming, here in INDIA, the official FB page also told the work is going on..... so there are 50 - 50 chances of begone rumors, but its definately x10 getting 2.2 froyo,
and bout 2.3, i think its almost impossible , coz of sys requirements and others... lets see

I actually think that the price is right if you are considering a new (or a slightly used) phone. Because all the negative feedback the 1.6 version got, this phone can be bought for around 200e (check eBay)! With that price, it's a bargain. I've had one for a month now, and the only bad thing about it is the pinch-zoom that should be on it's way anyhow.
Mine was already 2.1, so I've had no problems with speed or battery time. Infact this seems to have one of the best batteries when compared to many other brands that last only one day. I've used mine for the usual e-mail, internet, stock, chat, ebooks etc. and never had a program or the phone itself freeze on me. So do yourself a favor and save some money with this one.

You might have a case of badly coded apps. Mine never slowed down since the update, actually it made it much much faster...

[deleted post]Stop complaining about one guy in a forum. If something is not officialy announced by SE, don't trust it. And it is the same for all the things around you. Don't be so naive in the future!
Next update is waited for Q1 or Q2 2011 and will concern UXP and multitouch. No words about Froyo or Gingerbread up to now.

By the way, many applications can slow your phone down... If you installed some new ones since your update, it can be the problem

Im feeling my x10 has a bug. Or maybe the upgrade to 2.1 has made it worse. Has anyone noticed their phone became slower? Example, switching from one application to another takes time. Sometimes it get stuck or frozen in one application.
