the ph is OK... but for the 2nd time now mine have changed the language when texting from english to japanese ???and I cant change it back...tryed all settings.. 1st time I had to call rogers tech service and after exhausting all (??) options, the tech said only way was a "hard shut down" with the risk of loosing all my info... it worked that time but now I have the same problem again ?? any suggestions

I have owned this phone for 3 months. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! For the last two months the Xperia X10 that is mine has been returned for repair under warranty multiple times. Each time it comes back there are more bugs wrong with it:
It continually reboots, until battery is drained. Even after removal of battery over night, the cycle is not broken.
It does not charge. The phone heats up from the resistance of the charge, but does not recognise that it is receiving charge.
All of these issues are with the newest android software.
Most recently, it did not recognise my simcard which works in the three other phones I tested it in.
The most recent repair saw the entire circuitry board replaced - and yet the same problems persist. After years of owning SE phones, I am jaded and very unlikey to return to this brand again after this experience.

Settings>> Applications>> Manage applications>> Menu>>Filter>> All>> Market>> Clear Cache
I experience the same thing once in a while on my Galaxy Captivate so it may be a bug on the Market. Sometimes it will fail for one particular app but any other app will be fine to download.

You can buy right now but if you're the kind of person who wants to have one of the best then wait until Jan 6-9 and the 2011 flagships will be unveiled at the electronic show.

Is it possible you can help me some way pls im feeling disappointed a little but not able to enjoy the h/s to the fullest
Its an amazing phone just help me with download on market as it not working as i explained before

I thought 2.1 will support Arabic Language but I didn,t... Will the upcoming update support Arabic Language?

AND narrow chance of getting gingerread update bcoz most of sysytem requirements dont match, but many of XDA developers told that x10 can use 2.3!! keep fingers crossed..
i dont believe sony ericsson announcement, coz they told x10 cant MT, but now they say it can!!

auto rotation wont work with edit contacts. told conflicting capability by se call centre. bought phone based upon ability to use qwerty in landscape for all applications. any advice welcome.

[deleted post]LOL I was first mistaken to be you. I told PHOENIX that I am not you and I never claimed to be you. I didn't even know you at all. Anyways, I'm more like a cellphone lover with no real affiliation and I currently have an X10, a SGS Captivate, and 3 generations of iPhones.
Btw, that Moto commercial is really good and I do hope Moto delivers the goods. 2011 will be great for us, Android users.
