had this phone in 2nd condition...all i can say is, this phone rock! good pic quality n led can serve as torch lite during sudden blackout! speed is snappy n internal rom is more than enuff 4 me to install all my desired apps!! 4inch screen is truly delighting when watching clips via rockplayer, also look clearer when running papago n ndrive gps n satelite locking is quick too!! 384mb of ram oso enuff for running multiple apps. not regret bought this phone. posted via opera mobile :)

Too much expensive (480 euro without contract in Romania). Good smartphone, but if Sony Ericsson can make an offer reducing the price of x10 with 100 euro I am sure the sales will grow very fast. Unfortunately it's not the case. So in Romania most of the smartphone customers buy Desire, Galaxy and Iphone 3GS at this price or even lower. Very dissapointed of the greed or lack of marketing strategy of Sony Ericsson.(I was a big fan of SE in the past-especially K 800 and K 750 were big bestsellers here- but now with X 10 the sales are very low.

Feels like carrying a mobile Bravia to me! Its simply "owner's pride neighbours envy!". A feel good factor even after ages compared to the slightly-featured Galaxy S which is a bullshit acc. to me!

I have a Samsung Captivate and after a month of using it and hacking/tweaking it, I was able to squeeze in a day in a half in one charge. I felt like my Captivate have already reached it's potential and I am now starting to get bored of it and would like to dust of my X10 and use it again.
There are things that the X10 does so much better than my Captivate like taking pictures. The camera on the X10 is much better IMO than the one I have on my Galaxy S and I must admit that the X10 UI is also prettier although not as snappy.
Is there something out there that will boost the performance of my X10 similar to OCLF for Galaxy S? Rooting is not a problem and are there any custom Roms for the X10?
After updating my X10 to Eclair I had a change of heart. I used to bash the X10 as I waited for a long time for the Eclair update. I just hope that Sony will give us Froyo and 16M colors and MT someday.

fiza, 04 Dec 2010Hye guys, im having prob in updating to 2.1 vrsion.. either... moreBro, that happened to me before, I have several failed attempts using both PC companion & SEUS on both my laptop & desktop, I disabled my firewall & still same result. I got to that point where I turn off phone, reconnect to PC while holding back button but nothing happens & both my PC freezes. I reckoned both my computers are corrupted from all the apps installed so I borrowed my uncle's unused laptop. Got it done in just 1 attempt using PC Companion without any problem. Try using another computer, preferably one that's seldom used. Just a precaution, disable PC firewall, charge your phone to at least 50% (I charged mine to 100%, consumed 25% of my battery power during entire update process), use a PC with backup power & opt to connect using ethernet cable instead of wifi. Update process took 30mins-90mins depending on your broadband plan.
